Say goodbye to the Harman target(?).

There's also one important point regarding target curves. Some believe if they find or customize some target they prefer every music track simply must sound great. This is not true by nature. There are so many bad, good or even excellent recordings and masterings made with a broad range of...

It's not about the higher temperatures from the DAP, it's about the low temperatures from the fridge. There are not so many manufacturers which offer rather low operating temperatures for SD cards ☝🏼 And, for sure, it's important to stay within the specs and to give the card enough room for...

Well, you have to be careful since all cards have their different operating temperature ranges which vary pretty much. I currently use Kingston. Much superior to e.g. Sandisk.

Good question. Temperature rises after time. So with direct mode turned on and playing FLACs it lasts for about 1:20hrs until it reaches about 5°C. From then on, sound quality degrades significantly/audibly. Then you must decide if you want to keep this SD card getting warmer and warmer or if...

I ALWAYS use ONLY frozen SD cards in my DAP. I take them out of my fridge at about -18°C. Everyone knows that electronics work much better and create less noise and less errors, if used at lower temperatures. For my DAP it means an ear opening, so much more detailed, 3D, transparent, and simply...

Don't be afraid. All this talk about assumed changes regarding sound quality between different F/W versions is pure hearsay. Buy it, try it, return it in case you don't like it. It's so simple 😉 Don't think those very special experiences of a different kind are close to hard facts, in a sense...

Yes, I just pick one example. Moderators should do this job. Otherwise we don't need them and everyone could just post everything here. Is that your dream? One single thread, with posts about just everything. Very good base for organized communication 😉 Other threads here are much better in...

I wish the moderators here would be a bit more active. 900 pages full of OT thoughts and personal beliefs that are completely unrelated to the two DAPs this thread is about. The thread's title is clearly focusing on these two DAPs. Some posters just ignore this completely which bloats this...

I love it. Interpreting marketing articles from a manufacturer as hard facts, because their developers and engineers can tell us only the very truth. Please, be honest 😉 You are Sony fan boys, that's all 😉 Stay in your bubble and be happy, but please reduce spreading your beliefs here.

Oh... this thread is not about anything related to Walkman. It's about two specific models. And it is not meant to be used for general discussions or beliefs which can be linked to any sort of audio equipment. That's the difference 😉 Try to focus 🙂

This is not stated by the article 😉. But my guess was right 😉. Did anybody measured this additional noise (at the analogue audio output) ever, by a machine, not a human brain?

What does it say exactly about differences in SQ when debloating (deleting/disabling services/apps) such a device? And do you have other sources than Sony or other manufacturers? I guess I know what you mean. You think about the more apps/services are running on an Android device the more...
