I went with the Lyr to amp my LCD-2 R2. It is popular due to its price and performance.   Hopefully it is within your budget because I would take the Lyr over the Bottlehead Crack. As stated earlier, it seems mismatched with orthodynamics and is meant for higher impedance dynamics.  ...

Haha, I have had so many problems with iPod 4Gs and 5Gs over the years. Hard drive and battery failures all the time. They sound great with the Wolfson DAC but, went through 5-6 replacements... under warranty of course. Got to love Apple warranty.   Now I have the Cowon J3. Sounds...

I've tried both. The DT1350 will isolate much better than the P5 due to its clamping force. The P5 is more comfortable and sounds "warmer". But the DT1350 is not clinical or cold sounding to me at all, more like neutral warm and I preferred it to the P5.
