Hmmm, my Taurus 2 came today and it sounds great out of the box, but when volume is shot down still sound in left channel and at 7-8 o´clock left channel is stronger than right channel. Have changed different XLR cables around between DAC and Taurus + HE-500 cables, but same problem. Very bitter...

Will also be interesting to get an impressions on the new HiFIMan HE-560 paired with Taurus, should be a nice step up in details and speed compared to HE-500 and more neutral.

I would give the Vega (and Taurus) some more days before making any judgement. Let them play at low volume during the day and in the night when you sleep. That way you will quickly have given them additional 30-50 hour. Like cables, the subject of burn in is controversial for some people. But...
