Benchmark DAC1 PRE
For sure, I'm the biggest fan of the DAC1, owning one from the very beginning on. I switched three times and I think they changed the sonic signature over time...... but still.... why don't they offer a remote????!!! There was even a time, when I thought about modifying my DAC.... but...- L01

For me, the Stuttgart-system seems perfect, faster and more comfortable than bike (loveley Focus Mountain-Bike) or best car (Porsche, Mercedes or Smart)...... .... still, I use the car, because music-installation is nice- L01

seems a configuration-problem: Do you use Asio with foobar? If so, it is possible that your soundcard does not offer direct-sound and asio-playback at the same time... Kind regards- L01

Mac mini + ?
I also thought about a mac-mini with an external hd for some time.... but I kept my well-equiped pc with RME etc.... A better player "could" be the mplayer, which offers good quality with linux at least http://www.mplayerhq.hu/homepage/design7/dload.html maybe vlc-player is also an option?- L01
