Grado Fan Club!
Sounds like my experience just under two years ago: Long story short, I ended up with the 325is cans which I vastly preferred compared to the 225is (and I am in general a Grado sound fan). My posts from a while ago: ...- knolly

File Transfer Speed: Rockbox & Gen 5 iPod Video
Hi LevA: Thanks for the reply. Yup, the speed is VERY slow - like 15+ minutes for one FLAC album (as you say, about 400MB). I've tried connecting the player in regular mode and disc mode, and it's slow in both cases. Also, tried using two different computers (laptop and desktop)...- knolly

File Transfer Speed: Rockbox & Gen 5 iPod Video
Sooo... My iPod Video (gen 5) had been dieing a slow death over the past few months: battery issues. i dropped it off to get repaired and I asked about getting a larger drive in it as well. So, the 30GB HDD was replaced by a larger 80GB drive (largest size that could fit inside this...- knolly

Need Help - Beginner Portable Headphone for Boyfriend - Does not like IEM for comfort reasons
Well, I'm not sure the answer is exactly what you're looking for, but the Grado SR60 and SR80 have a reputation for achieving pretty much the best sound quality / price you can find. Both are under $100 and both can easily be driven by an ipod or PMP without an amp (though a good amp will...- knolly

Ear Buds for working out
A few years ago, I purchased a set of Sennheiser MXL 70 VC SPORT ear buds for use when working out. The idea seemed great: a lanyard around the neck to keep the weight of the cord from pulling the monitors out of the ears. Fast forward three years and I have to say that I'm not very much...- knolly

Recommendations for Metal and Metalcore music. (~$300)
Quote: Or, eat KD and pick up the 325is which I personally think are far superior to the 225is, ESPECIALLY for this kind of music :)- knolly

325s with Flats
Don't know about flats but 4 months ago I purchased both the 225is and the 325is's so that I could listen to them h2h for a few days (obviously they didn't fully break in) to decide which one I liked better. This was explicitly because of all the "OMG - the 325s are sooo Brite!" comments...- knolly

Grado Question: SR125 amped vs. SR225i/SR325i
I don't know if I can help out much, as while I've owned a set of SR60s for over a dozen years, I just picked up a set of 325is cans a few weeks ago and am definitely a bit of an headphile noob! I won't be able to answer your amp / dac questions from personal experience, but I can add this...- knolly

good amp for grado sr325
Thank you to the OP! (I was going to post the same question in this forum as well and kind of hinted at this in the 325 owner's thread). I'm looking for a portable amp for my gen 5 ipod and Grado 325iS cans, and now - apparently - a home amp as well So, i was thinking about getting two...- knolly

Hey! First post on these forums - what an absolutely awesome site! Anyway, just wanted to say "Hi!" as a recent 325iS owner (s/n 2813) but long time Grado headphone owner. I bought my first Grados in 1996 - a set of SR60s - that I still have today. A while ago, I decided that I wanted...- knolly
