Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

I'm looking for help with a gift for my sister. Can anyone comment on the Macaw NE1S? https://drop.com/buy/macaw-ne1s-true-wireless-bluetooth-5-0-iem/details#details If not, can someone recommend me a few budget ($40-90) wireless IEM of good quality? (maybe with a bright signature?) Here's my...

Help me with Christmas? Macaw NE1S / other wireless IEMs

Thank you! I would probably go that far, but my sister will want a single device- I'll check out that thread right now. I've posted something shorter over in that thread with a link to this one, but I am still looking for recommendations and experience.

Help me with Christmas? Macaw NE1S / other wireless IEMs

Hello, So. I'm a low-budget audiophile and my sister has asked for wireless earbuds for Christmas (she is not an audiophile, but enjoys a base level of quality). I know nothing about IEM, or what wireless products are out there. I found the Macaw NE1S for $55, and I am looking for something...

Best Headphones for Vinyl Records and Turntable

I'm looking at a similar dilemma. $150-$200. Different setup of course, a technics sl-1300, but I've been scoping around for a while. I've been checking out the AKG K7xx's, what have you been looking at kdgl? Seems like an open headphone may be the ticket, but I don't know. Edit: oh crap I...

    IEM's in an odd situation

Ohh... I'm reading and the Westones sound wonderful. A nice studio signature without completely decimating the ambient sound.

    IEM's in an odd situation

Hmmmm.... Yeah, I'm a graduate student haha. I don't think I would feel comfortable even saving up $300+ dollars for iem. Maybe certain other audio equipment, but not iem.

    IEM's in an odd situation

Hmmm that design looks super interesting, it's definitely going on the to-consider list. Thank you.

    IEM's in an odd situation

I'm thinking of somewhere around $70-> not too much more than $100, flexible. If it takes more money, I'm happy to sit on it for a while.

    IEM's in an odd situation

Hello all, I am looking for my first set of in-ear monitors, but they are to be used in a somewhat peculiar situation, so here we go. I work in a physics/materials science laboratory, and there is a constant medium-loud drone from turbo pumps (ultra-high vacuum system). I would like to listen...

++ FULL-SIZE HEADPHONE RECOMMENDATIONS THREAD++ CLOSED: Please post a thread in the Introductions, Help and Advice forum

Quote: So a recording will only be unlistenable if it was only made listenable by low definition players smoothing out the crappiness in the first place. That's good. None of my recordings are especially bad, I just have some low quality files. My best media is on vinyl, so it's not like...

++ FULL-SIZE HEADPHONE RECOMMENDATIONS THREAD++ CLOSED: Please post a thread in the Introductions, Help and Advice forum

Hi there everyone, I have one last question I think,   I am deciding between the CAL! and SRH440, but I'm leaning towards the SRH440 due to their rugged design and reputation for a great mids with fairly neutral leveling. My question is what "unforgiving of source quality" actually entails...

++ FULL-SIZE HEADPHONE RECOMMENDATIONS THREAD++ CLOSED: Please post a thread in the Introductions, Help and Advice forum

Quote: So the 440 and the CAL! are equally easily driven. That's good. Do you know how well the CAL! wires hold up? They look more on the flimsy side from the pictures. That's how my last pair of phones broke- wire got loose and my left side conked out. Because of the irritation of my...
