fwiw, i picked my new e500's up, i think it was a new pair, the box had a green sticker on it, but looked new under the hood... anyway, the cables do not feel like the old ones, i suspect it was because i just did not notice the cable hardening and becoming slick, but these are soft and matte...

mine cracked and got green and nasty inside like an infected cable, anyway, i don't know what they sent me but it's waiting to be picked up at the ups place, i really hope i got a whole new sealed deal...

hey speedy steve, i rock e500's and LOVE them 8 hours before uncomfortable, they fit under my helmet, and when i need to talk to people the pth module is handy, i actually think i can hear better with the pth than i can with just my helmet on. as well as the shorter cord length options... i also...

yeah to all, and i agree, i love riding with my e500's, but it's just a damn pain in the ass, the pth is usefull, but i find that it just doesn't amplify enough.. and i don't like not being able to hear anything. so with iem's i only ride with one ear in, and i hate it. i think i might try that...
