Sennheiser Momentum on-ear vs over-ear?
Depends if comfort is a paramount factor. Also, if they're not truly circumaural on you, they may not sound as intended. My gut feeling if I was you is don't get them, but that's ultimately your decision.- JoshuaA

Sennheiser Momentum on-ear vs over-ear?
I bought both. The "on" has more of a V sig and can feel a bit clamping with extended wear. Stretch them out and they feel better. V sig means mids/vocals are less pronounced so ideal for EDM (no vocals) and top 40 (whatever they're singing about, who cares, lol). They also leak sound so others...- JoshuaA

I used to spin drum'n'bass, and listen to all genres of EDM, yes, these are excellent for that type of music and along the bass spectrum for that matter.- JoshuaA

I don't see why returns matter based on UI. I bought it for the portable audio experience and if people can't get used to the X5's UI, that's their problem. I went into it knowing what to expect after reading reviews and watching vids. Those ignorantly coming from their finely tuned 6th...- JoshuaA

The hit/ miss pairing of the ECC85 with the Aune T1 really makes it a financial gamble. It seems less tolerant than recommended tubes where even if you buy a less specific model but same type, it still works without distortion, albeit maybe not as beautifully or the stated impression. I...- JoshuaA

Last night I bought a US made NOS GE 6DJ8 for $22+ship (seller only had one, otherwise I would post). I was intrigued by arcorob's impression that it is supposed to be like the GE German 6AQ8 but with a tiny bit more bass and slight less soundstage, considering soundstage and detail are...- JoshuaA

I'm using Class 10 Gskill 64GBx2 I bought from newegg.ca for $30 each. That Sandisk is double the price per GB! I'm not sure I'd be comfortable paying an extra $131 convenience fee for having 128x2 vs 64x4. That's also a risk failure of 120GB+ at once. Wouldn't it be better rotating 64's?- JoshuaA

YES! Much like Settings options on a smartphone. I understand FiiO is small comparatively and does not have the coding manpower of a smartphone company but that's the direction they should go. Still love the device, and bang for buck portability.- JoshuaA

I wouldn't mind the ability to customize the FW like I've done with GPS's, dashcams, iPhones/androids. Make it an open source community, as long as it's not brickable and flashing back to stock is easy.- JoshuaA

I agree, I tend to use the front buttons instead because the scroll seems backwards and sensitive to lag... haven't accustomed to it yet when I think on other electronics I would have by now. I wish the volume buttons on the side "woke" the screen up too as I like adjusting the volume with...- JoshuaA
