Actually, I got some dt770s in recently and they are pretty breathable. They don't have a huge soundstage, but I definitely prefer their sound to the m50x. It is a lot cleaner and there is more subbass without the highs of the m50x that seem tonally wrong to my ears. Really nice for movies...

What did you like about the sound of the m50x. Know that the dt880 has less bass but very quick and deep bass.

If you liked the 668b, maybe you'll like the philips shp9500. Super comfy and very natural sounding. It's like a budget hd600 to my ears.

Well, a four pole 3.5mm sends and receives. It worked on my mixamp and my creative soundblaster e5 before.

I've only heard a k701, but yes, the alpha dogs had a similar tonal balance with very clear highs, warmer mid range, and definitely a more linear and impactful bass. The speed of the alpha dogs also smacks the k701 and it gives the alpha dogs a smoother and more effortless sound. The k701 had it...
