Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

It kind of sounds like something I had with the Denon Perl Pro past 75/80% volume. It happened on two different sets too, but never had the issue on any other bud. I'm hoping it was something software-related on my phone as I'd love to return to DPP. Good luck with the Mackies! It's a real...

Most Android DAPs will support LDAC and have micro SD. If you can stand having two devices that can be the cheaper option if you're focused on Bluetooth. The only phones I can think of with micro SD are the Sony range, which can get very pricey, and also maybe some lower end Samsung/Motorola's...

Got the AZ80s. Other than the relatively low max volume they are keepers. Sound quality, connectivity, customisation are all amazing. May be kind to my ears' longevity and stick with them. With the Bass+ EQ they sound incredibly balanced and better tuned to my ears than the MTW3.

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

In the end I passed on the MTW3. I would recommend them to anyone, but I kept going back to the OG Nuratrue which I still have kicking around and I found myself preferring the tuning it served up for me, so I had to do a return and continue chasing the dragon. I wish I could stick to the...

The Edge 30 Ultra does since the Android 13 update, or at least it does on paper! I've seen it work, but it's not stable. I saw the same thing on an Edge 40 Pro with Android 13 out of the box. On Android 12 I was using regular AptX Adaptive with the DPP with no issues there, but since the...

I received and returned the Aurvana Ace. I found removing from and rehousing buds to the case really fiddly and knew it would drive me nuts. The sound signature also didn't wow me, but the trebles sounded detailed enough to be very interested in the xMEMS-style tech in future when it fully takes...

Expecting mine on Tues, the base version. Definitely excited, but I hope I find the volume enough! Interesting thoughts

It's I think the exact text from the Android Central review, which is quite interesting itself, but yeah... annoying

I'm 19th to 22nd! Probably one of the last shoved out the door before Christmas.

My curiosity was piqued and I've pre-ordered the Aurvana Ace! I have a good history with ancient Creative earbuds (the EP-630 got me through college) and the new driver tech and the limited reviews I've seen pushed me over the top. About a week away I think!

I gave up on Denon Perl Pro after going through two units that had the same technical issue. I'll return some day maybe, but anyway... Went for the MTW3 after hearing rave reviews of the latest update with the personalised mode. I came in with hopes of this being best of the rest...and had some...

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?

I think I'm done with my DPP, which I'm actually really sad at, as the sound when it's all hanging together is the best I've heard. The volume, in theory, gets super loud, which is great, but from maybe three or four notches from the maximum, on both sets I've had so far, the sound will kind of...

As someone who enjoys a bit of wi-fi hotspotting with my phone on occasion, this would be very welcome! Bluetooth so often flatters to deceive when it comes to reliability.

Is the connection stable using DPP with AptX Adaptive/Lossless on this Sony? I have no reason to believe it wouldn't be, but I've got a very choppy experience on Motorola unless I force regular AptX.

Yeah, I hear that V60 smashes any modern smartphone for a good DAC! For me my priority is just a super-nippy separate device to just disappear off the social grid into, and top Bluetooth codecs. I have Denon Perl Pro, so Lossless would be a big plus, which I *think* the IV series introduced. I...
