Schiit Lyr Tube Rollers
Starting point would be to review https://head-fi.org/threads/schiit-lyr-lyr-2-tube-compatibility-list.755300/ and unless things changed since my hiatus from head-fi, hit this forum post https://head-fi.org/threads/schiit-lyr-tube-rollers.673709/ where most of the action taking place. :) If...- htr2d2

Sit/stand desk with A/V workstation on the left, productivity workstation on the right, and tentacles. I may have a cable management issue. There is such a thing as speakers too large for a room. Doh! What is behind the curtain? My open source virtual data center cluster where...- htr2d2

FiiO Mont Blanc/E12 portable headphone amp, 880mW, slim design, full metal case. Bass boost and Cross feed!
I would suggest using the phone and give it a couple weeks then determine if you are unhappy with the sound. If you are thinking of a dedicated *portable* DAC, you might as well research and find a good lossless player with an excellent DAC or buy a DAC/AMP combo. Ugh. So many options. My...- htr2d2

Awesome! I use it several times a week with my HE-400 headphones. Not suggesting it is the equivalent to a Schiit Bifrost/Lyr 2, but the best portable amp that I have used.- htr2d2

I would go with the Vali 2, myself, but when in doubt, inquire with Schiit Audio. Avoid the Vali (1) due to the way the tube was integrated.- htr2d2

They do help. The problem with the factory headband is you get a point at the top of your head that may become sore. The wool cover distributes the weight. The suspension will do a better job distributing but more than $20 is ridiculous in my opinion.- htr2d2

I use these on my he-400/500s. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pure-Wool-Headband-Cushion-For-HE6-HE4-HE500-HE300-HE400-HE5LE-Headphones-/251720646308?var=&hash=item3a9bb83ea4 I use a suspension headband on my Fostex headphones which is better in my opinion. I have not found a reasonable priced...- htr2d2

Your A/V shelf sort of dismayed me. Only because it is awesome and I didn't think to do something similar. I like it! Paid way too much for mine and not nearly as functional.- htr2d2

FiiO Releases X1 Blue & Black to the Market
Not sure I understand. Blue is a primary color. With that being said, hardly my area of expertise and you may be right.- htr2d2

FiiO Releases X1 Blue & Black to the Market
Looks like a light shade of blue. Not seeing green more like blue paint with white mixed in. With that being said, I just did an image.google.com search with "gem aquamarine" and it resulted with light blue, lighter shade of blue, and blue-green gem stones. This is more akin the lighter shade of...- htr2d2

I wonder if you could remove the pads, insert the paper, then install the pads. I will give it a try.- htr2d2

Can you clarify "over the cup?" The treble not too bad with my pair except with certain artists/songs, but it may improve the overall sound signature towards my preference as well.- htr2d2
