I got mine refurbished from the Hifiman store. I had issues with the pair I initially received. However, Hifiman quickly exchanged them when I reached out to them, and the second pair has had absolutely no issues. In fact, it appears to be brand new. No visible blemishes or defects whatsoever.

Based on my experience, just let it warm up for 20 min or so before use and it'll be pretty much at its peak. It sounds amazing after just a bit of warm up. Not sure if it actually needs burn in to sound amazing.

I have had the Topping E30 and have found the BF 2/64 to be a much better DAC overall. To each their own I guess.
