The Hardest hitting Headphones are.. ( "The EXTREME BASS Club")

I burnt my SZ2000s in for almost 50hrs listening to bass heavy tracks like Wiz Khalifa's On My Level and some Deep House genres.

The look on their faces when the bass drops. I went to another headphone convention about a year ago and I brought my SZ2000s along with my Fiio E12. Most of the guys that heard my setup had that golden look on their face after hearing Wiz Khalifa. To them there's more to bass than they thought...

Long time no see Hawaiibadboy. I went with the Fiio E12 instead because the C5 was harder to get in my country. It does have a +22db bass boost if you max out the gain at +15db plus the hardware bass switch which gives another +6 ~+7 bass boost?  In my S6 I use PowerAmp and bump the bass...

    Best Smartphone for audiophile

While phones nowadays have decent audio chips, it will never be able to beat a DAP. Even the V10 will not come close. Recently LG tried to pit the G5 against a DSLR and tried to market the G5 for its wide angle lens. Unfortunately it will still lose due to the image quality. In short, things...

I can't wait to test the TH900mkII though.... my local audio shop doesn't stock them yet.

Of course, this is a healthy discussion and by no means a heated argument. Like you mentioned above, the HE-6 does have good bass through an amp. I can agree with you on that 1 since I have heard them before although it was through a Schidt amp (can't remember which 1) instead of a vintage amp...

From what I recall the HMA pads gave more bass and comfort when compared to the stock pads. However, the HA-MR55X/HA-MR77X pads gave more bass impact at the cost of comfort when compared to the HMA pads.

Of course. It's the same logic with DAPs. A DAP will always sound better than a smartphone(well, most of the time anyway) because the DAP was made specifically for audio playback while the smartphone is a jack of all trades.

It doesn't have good bass because they're open headphones. Open headphones are not so good with bass because the sound is leaking out through the open grilles on the sides of the headphones. If you want good bass from these headphones you need a very powerful amp for them.   Velour is...

It depends on the DAC chip inside the phone. While an amp can give better output it won't improve the audio much unless you use an integrated DAC/AMP like the Fiio E17. For around $200 you can try the Xiaomi Mi4 which has a decent audio chip.

While Exynos does beat SD in certain areas, the GPU isn't one of the strong points. Adreno GPUs are known to perform better than the Mali GPUs.

Don't really use velour myself, kills the bass.

Yeah slap on some 55x pads and you're good to go. From what I know about the HF they're nice headphones but not something you would bring out of the house.

Don't think you'll want the HFs if you're bringing them out, my SZs already stand out when I bring them out...

Just because someone said it's good doesn't mean it will sound good. Although I understand that you were unable to audition them but you're still supposed to listen before buying. Reviews may not br 100% accurate and they may be written from different perspectives.
