The Official 64 Audio Thread | apex & tia Technologies

I finally settled on the Crystal Cable Dream Duet. I did tried it together with the PWAudio 1960 and the plusound tri-silver x6. To me the Dream Duet is able to flush out the full potential of the Noir without exaggerating or changing things. The 1960 is nice, warm and soft. The down side is...

What balanced cables would go well with the Fourte (Noir)? Currently have a DHC SP and a OC studio AUX 8 wire into 4.4mm. Anything better?

Chord Electronics - Blu Mk. 2 - The Official Thread

What is meant by 352khz btw? Is this PCM signal and if so at what bit depth 24 or 16? Is this supportable with non chord DACs?

Chord Electronics - Blu Mk. 2 - The Official Thread

Hi Rob, the DAC has 2 x AES/EBU inputs not sure if that means it supports du AES but claims to support up to 24/384, DXD and DSD128...

Chord Electronics - Blu Mk. 2 - The Official Thread

Rob. Questions 1) Can I use this to upsample to a non Dave DAC And what rates will it out to... My DAC does up to DXD and DSD128... 2) Will this work for hi res files as well? I've basically ripped all my Redbook files to a server by now and the rest are native hi-res...

    SONY NW-WM1Z / WM1A

All tried... Yes and multiple Sony units have this issue. Not a big deal but it is a little annoying. Regarding defective cable/solder - if you think about it that would create intermittent issues randomly anytime and most probably when you wriggle the cable. This is not the case it happens when...

    SONY NW-WM1Z / WM1A

Ok now I understand what you guys mean - I always had my IEM's on and didn't hear the relay click from the unit itself. I had mine off when I switched tracks with different clock rates and I heard the click/click from the relays. Unfortunately - I am hearing snap, crackle and pop in my IEM's now...

    SONY NW-WM1Z / WM1A

One more thing to add. I realised that this also occurs on PCM/FLAC files when I'm switching between 44.1khz & 48khz files (and all freq. multiples of that). Within the same base frequency no click & crackles. Do you hear this as 1 click? I hear a several scratches, crackles , clicks.... Also...

    SONY NW-WM1Z / WM1A

The closest thing I can relate it to is when a record player needle first drops on the the lp (crackle, soft pop ?) ... It's gone in less than a second and just on DSD files though. Strange. I'm wondering if this is common to all the WM1z/1a's or is my unit defective...

    SONY NW-WM1Z / WM1A

I just got balanced cables and noticed that there is a crackling sound the 1st half second of playing any DSD track. This doesn't seem to be an issue when playing PCM. However when switching from DSD to FLAC/PCM it happens also but not thereafter as long as you stick to FLAC. Happens again when...

Effect Audio - New Flagship "Horus"

Okay but something turned rotten between Singapore and Hong Kong because they are trying to charge US$1933 vs. Eric's US $1599 Not getting any customer service and getting GOUGED. What to do? I think my answer at this point is just to walk away at this point. Got better things to do with my time...

Effect Audio - New Flagship "Horus"

I know which why I called the situation Kafkaesque.... Comes from the author Franz Kafka, and refers to the style with which he wrote his books (which in his dying wish asked for to be burned). Basically it describes a nightmarish situation which most people can somehow relate to, although...
