K812 vs LCD-X vs HD800 vs TH900 vs HE-6?
The K812 would be second fiddle for sound stage and imaging to my HD800 from my listening. It is probably the second best in regards to sound staging currently on the market and has a bigger stage than the TH900. It is a bit less bright than the HD800, but still has somewhat unforgiving treble...- HarleyZK

Why are the PS1000e so underrated?!
First off - to many, Grado headphones sound great with Rock and Metal! On the second, strange comment considering the LCDX has more bass than them, and the PS1000 bass is much more fat and energetic. The HD800 are very far from boomy bass.- HarleyZK

PS1000 Impressions Thread
Its just that not everyone shares the taste for bright headphones with strongly forward high frequencies. The Audeze are dark and laid back, on the spectrum they'd be absolutely on the opposite side to aggressive, bright and fun/energetic cans like the Grado GS/PS/RS lines. On the same page...- HarleyZK

Sennheiser HD 700 Impressions Thread
It sounds duller because the spray has clogged up some of the holes/pores in the mesh, therefore the mesh would not be as acoustically transparent as it should be.- HarleyZK

Mr Speakers Ether
I wonder if Addicted to Audio in Australia will stock these and have them for demo. They have the Mad Dog and Alpha Dog, but skipped the Primes it seems. Auditioning these would be a high priority for myself if they ended up at that store. Looking forward to the impressions vs the HE6 and LCDX.- HarleyZK

The Official Beyerdynamic T1 Impressions and Discussion Thread
The Oppo PM-1/2 are pretty limp in the bass department, no matter what amp I've tried. They are not the be all or end all for detail. The likes of the HE6, LCD2F, LCD3, LCDX, T1, K812, HD800 (among others) are another tier from them overall from my testing. I'm eager to hear a LCDX more...- HarleyZK

The decline of pickles
I couldn't live without a pickle in my burger. Beetroot is pretty essential. I'm the weird person who doesn't like tomato in his burger. I get funny looks when I say: Can I have some extra pickle? But please take out the tomato- HarleyZK

Headphone Sightings 2
Custom one pros this morning on a frankston bound train. UE6000 at the station. Kid had an ath-m50 who came into my work. My colleague who also owns an m50 was talking to him about them. My workplace is pretty good. I lent a Philips X1 to one of my work buddies and his brother who also...- HarleyZK

Where to buy T1 replacement ear pads
So if the EDT T1V earpads are correct, and all of us have been using the DT990 black pads then its not what the sound is like out of the box? Well how the hell do Beyerdynamic expect us to go buy the replacement part when all the sites say to look for dealers selling them...? The Danish store...- HarleyZK

Headphone Sightings 2
Just a few sightings recently. I saw a 15-16 year old guy with SR60s walking down the street. About 5 pairs of momentums, an aiaiai tma-1 on the bus, pair of mdr1r, an es7, Ath M50, Sennheiser hd439, hd598. Not bad.- HarleyZK

Audeze EL-8 vs Oppo PM-3 Impressions
Hmm very very interesting! I wonder if this is a quality control problem? My PM-3 seems like its quite strong in the bass, and a bit pronounced in the lower treble, one measurement matches what I hear. Then there is the Innerfidelity measurement which I don't hear them like, which backs up many...- HarleyZK

Headphones for metal music - ultimate solution
Slightly more leak than a LP2? I owned a M100 and the TH900 leaks quite a bit more that is certain.- HarleyZK

OPPO PM-2 Is Available - Post Your Impressions Here
Yeah, I got a pair of leather pads. What you need to do is go to their offline order form, fill it out in writing - add the lambskin earpads on the paper and the price. Then send it off and pay/do your order.- HarleyZK
