Raal Ribbon Headphones - SRH1A
I heard that turn on/off repeatedly may have a significant negative effect on some parts related to power or battery, if any. I heard some people saying that leave it on would be better for longevity. I don't know whether that applies to Jot-r.- franz12

Raal Ribbon Headphones - SRH1A
I have a quick question to jot-r users. Do you shut it off when you don't use it or leave it power on? I am curious whether there are any negative consequences with either choice- franz12

Raal Ribbon Headphones - SRH1A
None I am aware of. I asked Trevor from Norne cable to produce cables for the SR1a, but Trevor replied he haven't received any information from Raal to produce an aftermarket cable. However, I luckily found a local technician who was able to modify my Norne Silvergarde cables for the SR1a, and...- franz12

Probably you didn't get a good fit as the sr1a sound far from lean. But I also took about two weeks to find a appropriate fit with them, so I understand that can happen with anyone.- franz12

As I run this hobby with somewhat limited budget, I had to sell the hekse before i bought the sr1a. As I never had both at the same time, it is hard to say whether that is justifiable on behalf of other person. Still you might want to hear the sr1a at some point, as I think there are reasons...- franz12

it depends on ear and head positions. Enter sandman and master of puppets just sound right and not thin at all, of course to my ears. Initially, I also tried to boost bass by adding 2-3 dbs via EQ, but now I am backing off from bass EQ, as I think it is too much. All in all, it requires...- franz12

I know what you mean, but I recently got Jotunheim R and this amp seem to provide enough bass quantity/texture for me. Bass is not boosted, but it is flat and ultra fast... sounds really addictive. But hekse has more bass quantity (its bass is slightly boosted according to sonarwork...- franz12

Schiit advertises Bifrost as a better option than the internal DAC. Based on their own comments, I would say the internal DAC wouldn't be the best option available out there.- franz12

I understand why people tend to frustrate with EQing. It is hard to get proper measurements in the first place, unless one is professional in that area, and on top of that there might be some product variations. Also I never satisfied with eq done by myself. Still I do think EQ is a powerful...- franz12
