When using this with a Mac is better to use the optical output from the headphone port or should I plug it in as a USB device? Basically which one has better theoretical sound quality?

does it wobble or anything like that? like does it feel firm on the surface?

The ones I find on amazon seem to have really poor reviews (breaks easily, doesn't make quality contact).    Any suggestions guys? (It's for a Denon D7000's)

Would a Schiit Lyr/Bifrost be a bad pairing for a denon d7000. I'm hearing people saying it's too "noisy". Thoughts?

So I'll need a DAC/Amp so I can hook up to my mac.   I was thinking shiit lyr + asgard, a e17, or the d1 audiomagic. Any other suggestions in this area of price ($200-$600)? Like is there an obvious pairing that I'm missing? Bonus points for a nicely designed look and quality feel.

Really hating that I missed that wave of cheap d7000's on electronics expo. And now one one has any FS's for them...blah!

I think I've narrowed my choices to these two. Do you guys think the D1 is worth getting over the E17 for sound quality reasons? They're both around the same price so I'm not really sure which to go with if I really dont intend to carry it around. The thing is that it'd be nice to nestle the e17...

I use sakura fine point pens i like the .005 the best but you have to be careful because it's fragile.

I use a mac mini dedicated to my tv and I run plex on it. It's a fork (i.e. derivative based off) xbmc and really awesome. It has support for remote play via an ios app so you could say watch (via streaming from your pc) part of a movie on a train, etc. and then it syncs this time information...

I wish they'd update their freaking Mac Pro line already!!

D800s are such a pain to get right now. Retail it supposedly goes for 3k on Amazon but if you try to get one off eBay bids are going as high as 5k!
