If you still love Etymotic ER4, this is the thread for you...
That's my take on the two - The SR's are my main IEM, and the XR I like to use for travel, playing the drums, or just for a little more bass.- dr cornelius

Sennheiser HD 600 Impressions Thread
I bought an OG Jotunheim to originally run balanced Genelecs, but also found it worked great with HD 600s. I would assume the Jot 2 would work very well too.- dr cornelius

So true - also what I've usually found with $1k+ headphones is they'll introduce new problems. If I'm missing something with my current cans, the more expensive ones can overcome that issue, but usually at a cost in another sonic area.- dr cornelius

Same - I have a feeling the sound sig is what I'm looking for - but they are quite ugly, which I can't say about any other Grado I've ever had or heard. The weed logo doesn't help any either...- dr cornelius

I never heard the RS1/i/e - were they also rolled off in the lo-end? I always liked Grado's lean bass - coming from years in front of studio monitors I prefer a little less bass than overblown bass. But my RS1x's had less bass/mid bass than my 125e's and RS2e's, which was a surprise because...- dr cornelius

We're on the same page with the RS1X (I remember your posts around the time I bought mine). Not sure the Mojo 2 would've saved them - I just didn't find the 1X's to take to EQ. Something like Audeze on the other hand are great with EQ - IME, Grados not so much...- dr cornelius

Wished I had seen them with Gabriel! I agree 'Then There Were Three' has some great songs - that album came out when I started getting into them. As a beginner drummer at the time, that's when I thought of Phil Collins as just a drummer. None of my non musician friends knew who he was back...- dr cornelius

Good question - I rotate between 4SR and XR's, so hard to say how long I've had those flanges. I'll start changing them more often...- dr cornelius

Does anyone get the tri flanges stuck in their ears? I’ve been using etymotics for over 20 years and I’ve had it happen twice in the last couple months. Has anything changed with them?- dr cornelius
