    Sennheiser HD 600 Impressions Thread

I bought an OG Jotunheim to originally run balanced Genelecs, but also found it worked great with HD 600s. I would assume the Jot 2 would work very well too.

So true - also what I've usually found with $1k+ headphones is they'll introduce new problems. If I'm missing something with my current cans, the more expensive ones can overcome that issue, but usually at a cost in another sonic area.

Same - I have a feeling the sound sig is what I'm looking for - but they are quite ugly, which I can't say about any other Grado I've ever had or heard. The weed logo doesn't help any either...

I never heard the RS1/i/e - were they also rolled off in the lo-end? I always liked Grado's lean bass - coming from years in front of studio monitors I prefer a little less bass than overblown bass. But my RS1x's had less bass/mid bass than my 125e's and RS2e's, which was a surprise because...

We're on the same page with the RS1X (I remember your posts around the time I bought mine). Not sure the Mojo 2 would've saved them - I just didn't find the 1X's to take to EQ. Something like Audeze on the other hand are great with EQ - IME, Grados not so much...

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

Wished I had seen them with Gabriel! I agree 'Then There Were Three' has some great songs - that album came out when I started getting into them. As a beginner drummer at the time, that's when I thought of Phil Collins as just a drummer. None of my non musician friends knew who he was back...

Good question - I rotate between 4SR and XR's, so hard to say how long I've had those flanges. I'll start changing them more often...

Does anyone get the tri flanges stuck in their ears? I’ve been using etymotics for over 20 years and I’ve had it happen twice in the last couple months. Has anything changed with them?

I knew he already didn't like Grados, but as the video started, I thought "maybe he'll like the lower priced line"... For the money, I still think the SR line is great - the review inspired me to reach for my old pair of 125e's :)

Andromeda has better soundstage, but the XR does everything else better IMO. Also the Andromeda is too sensitive, one must be careful with the volume control.

The RS1x has negative bass to my ears. My etymotic ER4S earphones are flat down to 20 Hz, and they have much more bass than my RS1X's - I consider that negative bass (-:

I have both and if I could only have one, I'd say the SR's. The XR's are great, I like to use them when I'm traveling - the extra bass is helpful when I'm on the subway or on the plane. The only downside is the bass boost does affect the lower mids a little bit - but it's still a better...

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

Wow brings back memories - I had the same model - loved that thing. I would record bands that I was with at the time, and also some CD's for portable listening. I even bought a Sony MD player for my wife, so she could listen to music while running. Really cool format...

It sounds like you're not going to like them for the long therm, but I do think you should try and take advantage of the return window and listen to them a little more. I've had mine a year and the things that bothered me when I first got them, I'm still hearing - but your situation might be...

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

Beautiful - there was a garage just a mile or two from my parent's house that specialized in restoring Austin-Healeys. In hight school, my friend and I would go down and look at the cars (he owned a mid-70s MGB at the time). My dad had a Sprite before I was born - wished I could have seen that...

I'm not sure which gen - my wife got them a few months ago. The extra bass is probably good while on the go. I usually travel with my XR's and leave the SR's at home.

I heard the some AirPod Pros a few months ago and the bass was out of control - too much lower mid bleed. I was much happier to go back to my XR's and SR's! I'm also a fan of Genelec monitors for regular home listening, so I've discovered that it is possible to casually enjoy music with a more...
