    best ultrasones for bass?

Out of the cans listed, 550 Pros followed by HFI-580's.  Both do genres you describe very well, my 550's are my go to for electronica even over my Q40's and D2000' (both of which have better extension).

    $100 Headphones for work

I know its not under $100, but M-audio q40's are $119 on b&h $127 at Best Buy right now.  Make excellent hip hop headphones.

    Best Dubstep Heaphones for $200?

HFI-580's would be my vote.  D2000's are better all-around (if you can find em under $200) but they might not have the bass impact.  Love em for Widdler/Burial type of dubstep.

    Good gaming headphones

FA-011 is fantastic for gaming (non-competitive).  Great soundstage, runs on Xonar DG well and good detail.  Bass is there but doesn't drown out much (not over-whelming like Beyers/Ultrasones).  And, they perform well in the other areas you like with their warm sig and solid mids.

    Fav headphones you own?

Must say my Technics RP-DJ1200 are probably my long-time favorite.  Exteremely portable, balanced but fun and for the price i got it ($40)...if only it had more bass extension.

Best Full-Size Closed Headphones Under $200?

Go with the Ultrasones HFI 580's you'll be glad you did.

[Pics and review INSIDE] Fischer Audio FA-011 Impressions - Let the lower end Rumble your skull!

Really enjoyed these headphones, however, lack of extension (highs and lows) is what made me go back to Ultrasones.  Miss the open design and mids of these though.  Strongest mids of any "bassy" headphone I've heard.

WIll it be a waste to use D5000 to watch movies on laptop/Ipad?

Keeping it within your budget, Ultrasone Pro 550's are great for movies.

[UPDATE] Torn between AKG-K550 and Denon AH-D2000.

Both are very similar (I've owned both, still own Pro 550's).  580's are more portable and have slightly better sound sig for dubstepp & D&B type genres.  Throw in vocals or want more soundstange and 550's take over.  Gaming 550's are also much better.  Can't go wrong with either IMO for <$150

How do you like the MMG's?  Trying to find replacements for my pop's old MG-1's, love their sound but hey take way too much floorspace.   Quote:

Ultrasone HFI-580 vs Ultrasone HFI-780 vs Ultrasone Pro 550 vs Ultrasone HFI-2400

Don't get me wrong, I love my Ultrasones, sold the Fischers to get another pair of Ultrasones, then again I listen to primarly EDM which is the genre they really shine with.

Ultrasone HFI-580 vs Ultrasone HFI-780 vs Ultrasone Pro 550 vs Ultrasone HFI-2400

I've owned 580's and 550's, spent time with a friends 780's.   580's were my favorite for hip-hop, sound sig was the best for rap of the Ultrasones i've used.  550's were the best for rock, they have the strongest mids (still recessed compared to other brands) and had the least...

    Ultrasone Fan Club! (Roll Call)

Anyone find something with an ultrasone sound sig but portable (more portable than HFI series)?
