Selecting Headphones
My first pair of "good" cans were the SR60's, and I still get a kick out of them, even compared to my higher end cans. They're solid, fun, and will spoil you for all the stock phones you may have owned till now.- DCnphones

Quick question, i was checking the Portapros on the CC website. What's the difference between the Portapro and Portapro 2, besides the 20$ difference. I'm too much of a "What am I missing?" type person to not spend the full $50 for better sound.- DCnphones

Read good things about the Portapros, plus I just want to be able to hop in Circuit city and get them, and possibly return them if I'm not happy. Hmm... If anyone has had a similar predicament where they can't block out all sound, and have tried a couple "portables", I'd be open to any...- DCnphones

Thanks so much for the input. I was trying to some research on a few by brands I like. I like my hd600, and am warming up to their sound, maybe I'll give them a whirl. Still looking, thanks for the recommendations..- DCnphones

Questions about e3c ! ! !
The e3c's sound great w'out an amp. I have yet to really test them out on my Porta corda, but I used them for a couple months straight from my 3g Ipod, and was very happy once I found the proper fit/comfort/sound earpieces, and my ears acclimated to them. I and others highly recommend them.- DCnphones

Well, my wallet is still whimpering after my a900 splurge, but I have a new dilemma, I just started some part time work to pick up a few extra bucks while things are a little financially slow. The bad news is that my E3C's a kinda frowned upon, because I can't hear jack, not to mention taking...- DCnphones

Is AAC really that bad?
While most of my collection is at 192 or better, I'm still surprised when listening to my Ipod, using the line out, and my HD600's connected to my Porta Corda, at just how good some of my songs sound at only 128kbps. But yes, the ipod holds a lot of the sound back. The amp breathes new life...- DCnphones

NEED QUICK BIT OF HELP!!!
I bought the shure triflange from http://store.yahoo.com/earplugstore/ for about $10, and quite frankly didn't like them. They went painfully deep so I had to nip the tip flange, and shorten the stem. That worked for a little bit, but the ultra softs are still my go toos.- DCnphones

Where is the cheapest place to buy a Shure E3C?
I bought from Computers4SURE.com for $130. Brand new, used them almost every day for 2 months straight for about 6 hrs at a time, with no problems. (still work, just don't need them at work till Christmas season)- DCnphones
