I prefer speakers as they fill the room with sound, but with headphones I find im able to hear subtle details that is lost in my speakers, its there but seems harder to hear what with everything else going on, with phones it seems more precise.   Also headphones are a more private listening...

Looks impressive, I like Beyer cans in general, but im not sure about that right angled plug, & I personally wouldnt spend that much money on phones for portable use, but thats just me.

Hi,   I don't have any experience of the "Duet" headphone amp, but I own quite a few amps now you didnt mention what impedance your DT880's are,   Just been looking at the Beyer A1, looks very nice...

Another stunning piece of music is the new Jeff Beck "Emotion & Commotion" CD, I never really liked his music until this album, its completely different & im loving the quality mastering on this CD, if only all music could be recorded at this quality.

Ive not heard of that group before.

To add to this thread ive got a fondness of "Acoustic Alchemy", whatever the album or song it always sounds superb on headphones, much better than speakers in my view as I can hear every pluck of the guitar etc...   Dave :-)
