Hmmm... Not sure about this! Used my UP5 with many Smartphones/Tablets/Laptops and the volume is consistently a lot lower over Bluetooth than wired. It's always been like that since I got the UP5. One of the main reasons I got rid of it actually.

That's right, EQ and LDAC can't be used together.

What would you like to see in a gen 2? I can't think of much Shure could do really. They already sound great and are super comfy. Guess the noise cancelling could be improved (moot point for me, I don't really use it), maybe longer battery life? Allow EQ with LDAC? Edit: actually, if Shure...

Sorry to ask an obvious question, but have you tried a different cable? Issues you describe sound like a bad cable.

New firmware and app update available now. Adds the ability to apply EQ globally rather than just to locally stored music. But only if you don't use LDAC...

Well they've arrived, and in the meantime I've picked up a stinking cold... So my ears have the feeling of being filled with cotton wool. Not good... 🤧
