Thanks for the feedback! Haha... Care to share why it's odd? Sadly it's what I could think of as I was doing the survey. Haha =X The results are still pending; though I've already given the tentative results in a previous post! =D- Crazyguy106

Simple Survey on Music Appreciation

And interestingly enough Classical and Modern Jazz were the two most selected genres. Most people prefer Melody, then Harmony, then...- Crazyguy106

Guitar Amp?.......
The function of guitar amps are mainly to colour the sound in a guitar way. Most electric guitar amps sound super mids heavy to give a growl to the sound and therefore do not function great as a head-fi amplifier. But if you like the sound, it can function as such, but it was not meant for high...- Crazyguy106

Why aren't people using studio amps over custom hi-fi amps?
I would agree that expectations and a whole bunch of other things such as image come into the picture when a usual audiophile comes to buy items. Rather than using one's ears usually people use preconceived notions and ego to listen to the music. However I would like to disagree with some of...- Crazyguy106

Why aren't people using studio amps over custom hi-fi amps?
Because studio amps are too "analytical" and "clean" for most. Very often hi fi amps have a lot of added effects to the music and add something often termed as "musicality" which is enjoyed by audiophiles. The matter is that people are not really interested in having a sound which is...- Crazyguy106

Am I deaf? My A/Bing of several high end earphones
Quote: It's my favourite post out of the whole of the Head-Fi... Quote: Yeah and ironic that the original music would have so much clipping. Not a nice sound in my opinion. Haha- Crazyguy106

Am I deaf? My A/Bing of several high end earphones
Would just like to join in with my opinions... I like the people here on this thread. I hear a lot of clipping in the first recording right away. There's a lot of distortion for Kelly Clarkson's voice during the first track. The effects are there but more obvious in the first track. But...- Crazyguy106

does rockbox can control imod line-out volumn ??
Rockbox's latest firmware updates include Line Out volume control. I have no idea why. I was trying to remove that option but can't.- Crazyguy106

Westone UM3X Thread
Wouldn't it depend on which sound signature you prefer? W3 is a warmer, more "lush" sound, whereas UM3X is more of a forward mids, less bass presentation. If you're going for a bit more on details UM3X is the one for you. If you prefer lush sounds W3 would be good for you I believe.- Crazyguy106

High End In-Ears
I think there's this funny thing about neutrality that people tend not to understand... Or correct me if I'm wrong. Volume of a frequency has nothing to do with neutrality. If there was such a thing then digital EQs would rule over the effects of earphone sound signatures. Neutrality is...- Crazyguy106
