The hd650 with adequate amplification can be terrific

The RSA HR-2 is a sweet sounding amplifier, it has enough power to handle the K701 or HD650 to insane levels, but IMO it truly shines with the W5000’s and the DT880’s. Plus: Ray Samuels service is the best in my experience.

I use mine with the RSA HR-2: Beatiful and punchy bass nice highs a little bit hot mids and nice sound stage.
