Altec Lansing iM716 recabling or alternative

Hi all,   I bought a used depoded Altec Lansing iM716 used here a few years ago. I really like the sound, comfort, fit using the triple flange modded to double flange, and isolation. Unfortunately, the cable outer insulation started to crack in various places and I can see the inner cable...

REVIEW: Nuforce NE-7M iPhone IEM vs Denon C700 and Klipsch Image X10 (NE-8 Impressions Added 1/15/09)

Headphoneaddict, So NE-8 is slightly more detailed and neutral but less bass impact compare to NE-7. Does that mean NE-8 bass impact is somewhat similar to podless iM716 (47 ohm) unamped? (I found podless 47ohm iM716 when driven straight of DAP lack of bass impact compare to Denon C700)...

    UPDATED 2/22 REVIEW 13 USB DAC amp - Predator, Pico, 2/3MOVE, D10 D3 D2 Viper/Boa D1, Lyrix, MicroAmp, Vivid V1, Nuforce, XM5

Is there any negative effect to the battery life (if any) when connecting any of these amp/usb dac with built-in rechargeable battery all the time to a computer through usb cable? If so, how difficult or easy is it to change the built-in rechargeable battery?

Upgrading from ER6i to Nuforce NE-7... wise??

Thanks for the information. I think I can extrapolate how NE-7 would sound. I think it is time to get a portable amp/dac combo. My iM716 is depodded (also with 47 ohm I believe, I bought it from another head-fier). I always listen to it with flat eq though, I'll try to play around with Sony...

Altec Lansing iM716 initial impressions (pre burn-in, un-modded, with some comparisons with Denon C700 et al)

Thanks for the suggestion. FiiO is one of the option. But I am not sure it works well with C700 (I read somewhere the E3 doesn't). More importantly, I am looking for usb/amp combo such as nuforce icon mobile (I am still waiting for more feedback on this one and still reading on various amp...

    UPDATED 2/22 REVIEW 13 USB DAC amp - Predator, Pico, 2/3MOVE, D10 D3 D2 Viper/Boa D1, Lyrix, MicroAmp, Vivid V1, Nuforce, XM5

Noo!!! I've been checking your thread almost every hour to see if the review is up or not. Lol Nahh, it's all good, take your time. I am really looking forward to your review. I am actually to the point where I want to buy an amp/dac combo to use it with my current phone (iM716, Denon C700...

tstarn06, How would you compare the NE-7 to im716?

Altec Lansing iM716 initial impressions (pre burn-in, un-modded, with some comparisons with Denon C700 et al)

I bought mine already deppoded (47ohm as far as I remember) from another head-fier. It sounds great, but bass is less (quantity wise) compare to the C700. But I drive them straight out of my Sony A818. I really need an amp to reach the deppoded iM716 full potential. I am still keeping iM716 at...

    Nuforce NE-8 --- Initial Impressions

Thanks! Yeah, I agree KSC75 should not be compared. That was just my curiosity because KSC75 is what we have in common (based on your sig) and that is my point of reference. Well, it's good to know that NE-8 are better than KSC75 in all respect.

    Nuforce NE-8 --- Initial Impressions

Nice shots! It looks pretty flush. I wonder if you can wear this phone for sleeping on the side. Anyway, I look forward for your comparisons with other phones. Oh, btw, can you give a little comment how does it compare to Koss KSC-75 that you have.
