My Zen Stone Plus (black) has this blinking light at the top - I suppose it lets you find it in the dark etc. Do all Stones from Creative have this feature or is it just Zen Stone Plus? Is it possible to turn it off?

That blinking light is what tells you if its charging, low on battery, playing, paused, etc.


It doesn't seem as necessary on the Plus, but the regular Stone needs it to be usable.

And if you really don't want it, I suppose you could try breaking it somehow.

I do not want to break it - I want to disable it... It does not blink when the players is playing... So maybe I could tweak it somehow - upload another firmware or something... What do you suggest?

Just don't look at it...oh but I know, it keeps calling you to look at it.

Use a Black Sharpie.

Well, I listen mostly at night in bed and having that thing blinking is a bit... annoying. If someone wants it or keeps loosing things I guess it would be a good idea. But it would also be a good idea to make an option of turning it OFF! Maybe there is some firmware tweak or something...
