USB-C to 3.5mm adapters (DAC) - Let's find the best
I've just received ibasso dc02, and I try to use it on my MacBook with Tidal app. When Tidal app uses it, I can't increase/decrease sound volume via standard volume keys - only using Tidal's internal volume slider. So I need to switch to Tidal app every time I need to modify the volume. Does...- blackyangell

[FiiO M11] Android 7.0, 2.5/3.5/4.4 Powerful Output, Exynos 7872, Dual AK4493 DAC chips, 3GB RAM, WiFi, Two-way LDAC
Yeah, it really sucks... We are here to share our opinions and impressions, it's not an iBasso/Fiio/A&K funpages. And I think when you compare iBasso with Fiio on iBasso thread, and write about some good Sony DAP in Fiio thread - it's wonderful, cause you can always learn something new.- blackyangell

Yeah, it's really cool if you can go to your local store (or CamJam) and make direct comparison, forgetting about price and marketing hiss - only sound, only YOUR impressions :) The probles is that not every city has such store :) So that's why many people here are trying to make some sort of...- blackyangell

I guess X7-II is considered to sound best for now (from FIIO), but can't say of course, didn't hear any of them. My question was about dx220 - m11 comparison, not about 'flagship' definition :)- blackyangell

:) Usually 'flagship' is simiral to TOTL - Top of the line, the best product that company has at the moment.- blackyangell

Would be great to hear any sound comparisons dx220 - M11. I doubt dx220 sound twice better, but it's a flagship anyway.- blackyangell

Thanks for a great review! You've mentioned you had IFI Micro iDSD. I'm listening to FH5 via iDSD now, and I really enjoy the sound, but I'd like to swap it with M11 to make a setup smaller/more portable. Can you help with some direct comparison iDSD - M11? iDSD has such cool features like...- blackyangell

I don't have M11, but I tried to get MQA stream from Tidal on my mobile, connected to IFI iDSD. When I play some Tidal Master tracks (MQA) from Macbook, I can see clear confirmation from IFI (yellow led light) that it gets high res data to play. But when I play the same tracks from Androin...- blackyangell

How do you do this? What settings in UAPP should I use to get full MQA unfold on Android without resampling? Thanks!- blackyangell

Hah, I feel the same thing now comparing my new FH5 to Beyerdynamic Amiron :) FH5 costs 2.5 times less, but I can't definitely say they sound worse or less exciting to me. So much fun in such a small IEM. So now I'm considering about swapping IFI iDSD to M11 for more convenience, can't wait to...- blackyangell

Hi guys! Quick question: while M11 doesn't support MQA, what will we actually hear listening to Tidal's Master tracks (which should be 24/96)? Will it be regular 16/44 or something else?- blackyangell

Beyerdynamic Amiron Home (the new T90)
I've talked to Beyer's support, asking them to give me more info about Impacto - is it really powerful enough to drive 600ohms T1? They told me that it will be loud enough. But I didn't receive their answer about the quality of this loud sound - what about bass control, what about distortions on...- blackyangell

Thanks for sharing your experience DChrls. I'm using iDSD Micro, and I'm happy with that pairing too. But I was considering Impacto as more transportable alternative.- blackyangell
