I've tried several sd cards but that made no difference. Then I I tried some new files and to my surprise there is no problem with these flacs. Somehow my existing files are corrupted or something like that. I don't understand how this can happen while the sd card is in the Fiio. It looks like I have to refresh my musiccollection. Problem solved? I hope so.....
I tried several Tf cards but still none of the files can be played. I fear that the Fiio has somehow damaged the files. When I tried some new files there was no problem. I don't understand that the Fiio won't support the files that have been on the same TF card for several months and been played without any trouble.
I've tried several tf cards but that didn't make a difference. I discovered something else, the files won't play on my laptop either. Somehow the Fiio corrupted the files, because the tf card hasn't been removed up unytill the problems started. Strange..

It seems those files got virus. The X1 only read your files in the TF cards but should not damage them. Maybe you can copy the original files again to see whether it helps?
I took delivery of my X5 3rd Gen this morning, I have to say it is a major upgrade to my X5 2nd Gen.
Unfortunately, I have already found a problem. At first I thought I had a defective unit but now I believe it is the supplied USB cable that is defective.
When I attempt to connect the X5 to my computer using the supplied cable it opens the connection menu for a second or so and then disconnects, this connection and disconnection continues on an endless loop. However, when I use my Anker Power Line USB cable, the connection is flawless.
Normally I would just ignore this issue and replace the cable but I keep reading that the Fiio cable is a "special cable".
Please could someone let me know what is special about the supplied cable as I have a defective cable, and if it is a "special cable", can I have a replacement?
I have had my X3ii for three months and have been converting CD's to flac and saving them directly to the X3. Gapless Playback had been working until recently. Now there is a pause between tracks on albums that I have downloaded recently (Gapless Playback is switched on,) but ones that have been on the player previously still play seamlessly. When I backup the recently converted flac files from the X3ii to an external hard drive they play without gaps through Windows Media Player. I have sent FiiO an email but haven't heard back. Any suggestions?

Do you mean that the same album having this issue recently? Please try to do a factory restore to see whether it helps? Is the firmware version of your X3II FW2.0?
There are many emails after our few days holiday so the reply may be delay. Sorry if bringing inconvenience to you.

Thank you for your reply. Any album that I download now that has no gaps on the CD has gaps when played back on the X3ii. I did a factory restore and there was no change. I also tried a hard boot but that had no effect either. I have firmware version 2.0. Any other suggestions?
I have a Fiio X5ii, and believe the soldering has come slightly loose in the headphone jack. This means that when pressure is placed on the headphones, the player pauses - basically making it completely useless as a portable device, as it frequently gets bumped slightly in my pocket. Is there any way to get this repaired in the UK? Or in the meantime, disable the feature that pauses music on headphone 'removal'?

Sorry to hear about that. If you are capable to repair the headphone jack by yourself or maybe the staff in the electronic store, we could send the headphone jack of the X5II to you for the shipping cost 6.0USD. The feature you mentioned about pausing the song when unplug the headphone will not be disabled.
Been over a year now since I got my FiiO X3ii and not a day has gone by without my using it. But just these past couple of days I've realised my beloved X3ii may be broken. At first I thought it was my headphones breaking since The sound started breaking up and I could only hear the reverb from a song, like listening to the song from a distance. I even bought new cables but still the same effect. When I adjusted the jack in the port it crackled and occasionally the song played normally. So I've concluded it's definitely the player. I can use the line out port but I'm worried that would damage my headphones/earphones. Is there anyway to repair this damage to the headphone port?

Sorry to hear about that. It seems to be the issue with the headphone jack. Are you capable to repair it? Or may be you can ask the staff in some eletronic store for help.
You can turn on the volume adjustable from playing settings if you are using FW2.0.
