Westone 3 or Aurisonics ASG 1.2 or other?

Hi Head-Fi,   Looking to purchase a new IEM soon. Currently looking at either the Westone 3 or the Aurisonics ASG 1.2. Which pair of earphones do you prefer? I'm looking for a fun pair of earphones that will be a nice alternative to the HD 600's that I use at home. I will be driving them...

Stage Diver 3, Sennheiser IE80, Aurisonics asg1, or Heir Audio 3.A?

I'm planning on getting new iem's and have gone through endless reviews which narrowed down the iem's that caught my attention. I'm trying to pick between Stage Diver 3, Sennheiser IE80, Aurisonics asg1, and Heir Audio 3.A. My ears really enjoy impacting bass response as well as neat clarity...

    Aurisonics ASG-1: A Review

Hey guys,   Thought I want to share my thoughts* on the ASG-1. Compared to other top tier universals, the ASG-1 hands down has the "liveliest" sound signature and the fit is great!     *This (revised) review is carried out WITHOUT EQ.  Model: Aurisonics ASG-1 Original version...

New IEM To replace ASG -1.2

Hi all looking for recommendations for replacenent iem that is completly different to the asg's as I did not like them due to the mids, I have a pair of gr02 bass edition that I use for the gym and that type of sound is great, strong bass slightly recessed mids and sparkly trebble, but the...

Just Sold My LCD-2 Rev 1...Where To Go Now?

Hey guys,   I'm still on my hunt for the perfect headphone, I just sold my LCD-2.  It was very natural sounding, best mids I've ever heard, great textured bass, but it just wasn't for me.  I'm starting to come to the conclusion that I prefer more of a high-end consumer sound vs a pure...

[REVIEW] Aurisonics ASG-1 rev 1.2 : A Custom Lookalike (2/11/12 update: Comply and Jaben Foam Tips!)

Hey guys this is my first ever review and I just want to say that I am not an expert audiophile and not a native English speaker. Pardon me if I make mistakes as you read through. Hope you enjoy this review!  AURISONICS ASG-1 rev 1.2 The first time I heard about the ASG-1, I found it very...

New aurisonics 1.2 for christmas, problems

Just got these, I haven't had any IEMs of anywhere near this quality. I have heard they need a burn in? What is my best bet with these dynamic drivers burn-in wise? Also, one is SUPER loud and the other is rather quiet, will this go away with burn-in or is there something wrong them?

Headphones or IEMs with a Powerful, "In Your Face" Forward Midrange

Hey guys, I'm in a bit of a hurry right now, so I can't really explain too much. I got the W3000ANV but didn't get what I was really looking for. I'll be returning those, and I really want a headphone or IEM that can deliver a strong midrange. I'd like the midrange to just jump off my MP3 and...

    Amp/DAC for Aurisonic ASG 1.2?

Hi all,   My ASG 1.2's are on its way now and I was wondering should I get an amp for it? I have an iPod Classic and Cowon S9 but I think the ASG 1.2 will benefit with an amp.  The size shouldn't be bigger than the Classic by much.   Which amp/dac should I get?   Thank you, Leon

Preface       These two IEMs are among the latest offering from companies that could be considered giants of portable listening. Both companies have been around since before my parents even met, much less thought of having me. Both have proven their staying power, and their engineering...

    Aurisonics ASG-1.3 Review (Updated: 14MAY2013)

Alright, after a good 16-20 hours of listening these past 3 days, and hearing one song that I was left awestruck on my ASG-1s, I feel I have enough ammunition to do a decent review of these new IEMs of mine. I'll probably do a site based review as well (these need more proper ratings). I'm also...

[REVIEW] Aurisonics ASG-1: Diamond in the Rough. (Rev 1.2 Update Added)

Original Review       A Preface     I doubt there is a member of Head-Fi that frequents the portables forum who hasn’t heard of the ASG-1. Unbeknownst to some, the ASG-1 one was designed as a singer’s stage monitor, to be used at live events for short periods of time. What I...
