Will the head-fi hobby go the "Excess is Best" route?

Audiophilia as a hobby is an excess, even if you have a "budget" system.

    Worst "high-end" equipment you've heard

Threads like this make me realize that many people in this hobby are either full of crap, deaf or have more varying opinions than prepubescent girls on what they will wear on any given day. I mean, we all have opinions, there is gear I don't care for either, but from what I'm reading, you would...

    Business Suit and Tie

I think the gents before me have nailed it with the attire, but I can't stress this enough. Make sure you have a neat haircut and you're clean shaven. Clean your fingernails and have them trim. Don't wear any cologne. What smells awesome to you could be awful to someone else. I once remember a...

Mulveling, that setup is sweet, sweet, sweet!! I personally think the PS Audio GCPH is one of the biggest bang for the bucks phono stages around. You'd have to pony up big dollars to really surpass it.

Why do I buy so many headphones?!??!

Define "so many headphones". Son, if the amount of headphones you own are not in the double digits, then you have no problem.

In the "wooden" room with the Sonus Faber stradivaris, there are panels in the back of the room, it's a work in progress I believe. I think things are being shuffled a bit. It will be taken care of.

Now for the main attraction - The new B&W 802 & 805 diamond speakers. Let me just say that to all the people complaining about the way the speaker looks with the silver trim, rest assured that it looks very handsome in person. I think the flash on camera's pick up the silver accent making it...
