I'm thinking this is actually not possible. I may just use the amp/dac for the headphones and buy a separate mic for gaming and plug that directly in to the sound card.

May be overkill I guess, but I'm leaning toward the Valhalla 2 for 2 reasons. 1. I want a tube amp and don't want to spend above 400 on just the amp. 2. It'll scale up if needed depending on future gear. Thoughts? Any tube amps rival this for under 400?

If they are anything like the ESW10JPN's then the answer is ABSOLUTELY YES. I have listened to plenty of 192 tracks with my ESW10's right out of a pc with nothing but integrated sound. The sound is still quite good. Not sure why but it just is. They scale up well too.
