Any old fart head-fi'ers still around?
I'm still using my KSC75 and HD650. Gotta get around to modding them someday since I'm so lazy about building new cable nowadays.- fureshi

Any old fart head-fi'ers still around?
Glad to still see some familiar names in this thread. It's been a while since I last checked Head-Fi and wow, everything looks and feels so different now. I still have fond memories of the early days and wonder if I'll ever really get back into headphones again. I'm happy with my small...- fureshi

Grado SR225 Thread
It's been a while since I've last posted on Head-fi and even more years since I sold my last pair of SR225. I recently picked up a pair of SR225e and surprisingly it's making me excited about listening to my current collection of music. Much more excited than the Sony Z7 that I picked up a few...- fureshi

Any old fart head-fi'ers still around?
I've had a few classic RS1's pass through my hands and every time something justified selling them to fund something else. It's been years since I've last listened to any Grado cans but my memories of the RS1 always left some regret about selling. I had no interest in the newer RS1i but maybe...- fureshi

The small fit me perfectly as well although I was in between sizes. That and the CD3k I should have never sold. This has been a journey in regret, for selling cans that I said I never would.- fureshi

Any old fart head-fi'ers still around?
SP amps were the holy grail to me and unfortunately I never did get the funds together before SP imploded. You guys were lucky to get your hands on good versions of Mikhail's amps and that they're still in good working condition. It's the same with the R10 for me. A holy grail headphone that...- fureshi

Any old fart head-fi'ers still around?
What ever happened to Doobooloo and all the other guys that we've mentioned? I had a few pairs of Eggo D77 and D66 in the past as well and yes, I remember when they and the Sennheiser MX500 were popular. I should have never sold a lot of my old cans when I look back on them. They seemed...- fureshi

Any old fart head-fi'ers still around?
Dragging this thread back from the dead. For some reason I clicked on Kramer5150's Grado Mods thread and a few clicks later landed on this thread. Lots of memories and people from way back when. I remember spending hours here trying to absorb and learn as much as I could, built a few Mints...- fureshi

Jude, what headphone stand did you use in those pictures? I'm curious as to how they compare to the Z1000.- fureshi

i've purchased parts for the CD3000 from Partstore.com but that was a few years back. PM me for the diagram that sovkiller posted. I'm pretty sure that I still have it around somewhere if you need it.- fureshi

The NIKON Thread (Talk About Nikon Stuff here)
The 16-35mm still seems somewhat expensive for a f/4, which is supposed to be a budget lens. Yes it has VR but at $1260 it's still a bit pricey.- fureshi

agreed. people should be required to take a driver's ed course, advanced driving techniques class or some type of driving course before they can get their license renewed. i've seen too many stupid things and in fact, i yesterday, i almost rear ended an SUV because the lady pulled into my lane...- fureshi

Sony ex-700 Head Count:
+1 They haven't been getting much head time lately. I've mostly been using them out of my DAP but I'll have to try them with an amp to see if the highs are better controlled.- fureshi

it's not just for flare either. my understanding is that you'll see a decrease in contrast due to stray light hitting the front element.- fureshi

The NIKON Thread (Talk About Nikon Stuff here)
it's a great idea to rent the lens and get some experience with it instead of plunking down the large sum that Nikon wants. the 70-300vr already looks ridiculous on my wife's D40 so i can only imagine that the 70-200vr would engulf that little camera.- fureshi
