That tip is the T500.
I bought them from the Comply website sticked to the sponsors in the right.
I think the new Tx500 should be great too. I am just waiting next month to buy them.

my sis has ex300... i say ex700 has more upfront mids and more refine bass...you can notice when playing rock-jazz and orchestral piece...

even though ex700 is a very efficient headphone, it really needs headphone amp to sound best... ex700 + boa = wider soundstage, more controled highs (the sibilant probs is gone after 300hr burn-in) and fuller bass... mids is rich, and never been a problems with most of sony hps...

yes... 300 burn-in will settle the highs.. though amp really helps... to be honest, ill pick this over 530's @ anyday

better late than never....
I found the included case to be quite a pain to use. I wish there were a youtube instruction video...

Knights I agree with the statement regarding se530

I agree with that statement only if a portable amp is used. I used SR-71A for comparing SE530 and EX700lp.

SR-71A enhanced the soundstage exponentially for both, but the pairing works better with EX700lp because of the bass being better on ex700lp. I felt SE530 were still right there, but felt the bass lacked to a point that you can easily notice the difference between the two.

But I hate the tips for ex700lp. I bought the comply foam tips, and they seem worse than original tips. I wish Shure would have made thier SE530 foam tips for universal fit (at least as a accessory you can buy for other IEMs).

That's interesting that amplification tames the highs @ a_tumiwa and knights, does anyone have a portable amp to recommend having good synergy with the EX700?

I have a pair, considering selling them at the moment, only for reasons cash and exploring other IEM's, I have all the tips mentioned in this thread (Comply T500, Shure Olive (decored), Sony Hybrid) and the original leather case.

Personally, I find the Shure Olive tips to offer the highest sound quality with the EX700.

PM me if you're interested, only selling over the next 48 hours or so.

Hey, I just connected them to the headphone-out on my stereo-receiver, and the highs do sound a bit smoother now, especially when I directly compare to my laptop soundcard, I didn't expect that to happen.

I've never had a portable amp before, I use Teclast T51, any recommendations what kind of portable amp to look into?  Perhaps something high resolution, smooth, sweet, treble roll-off? I have no idea.
