Gee, if you want a bassy closed Beyer, why not just go with the battle-tested DT770 Pro 80 instead of the somewhat gimmicky, generally less-loved Custom One?

Can't you just cut out whatever you want from pretty much any material and throw them in there? Is the earcup solid behind the removable panels? We should be able to install fabric swatches, our favorite hentai, advice animal memes, or just photos of our cats on there.

I can't speak for the 250's. I think the 80's are spectacular, plus they're cheaper and known for their amazingly deep bass. Mine sound great straight out of the headphone port of my home and work computers (Mac Pro and iMac) but I hear that the 250's aren't terribly hard to drive either.
