I really want to try one of these, but don't know where to buy them. eBay seems to be really flooded with bunch of fakes, so I won't even consider purchasing from there. Where did you guys buy these? And for how much?

the eggos are NOT "closed" by any means. they leak in a lot of noise. i personally recommend the v6's if you enjoy bass. otherwise, i duno.

forgive me if this has been discussed already (66 pages is alot to go through), but how do these compare to the sony v6's? i currently have the v6 and like the sound of it, but it can be a lil too bright for my likings at times. i'm looking for an upgrade, but really doubt a pair of $50...

well i have the Philips HP550: im guessing when u was talking about the headband, u was talking about one of the two string thingies? well, i've had the hp550's for over a full year of almost everyday use and i've never had a problem with the headband. i'd pull the two "earmuffs" away...

maybe one way to test if the volume is too loud when doing these break-ins is to listen to some music mp3s and then adjust the volume to something a lil higher than what you listen to and then set those frequencies on

Thanks Duncan! There's a problem with the ribbon thing-a-majigger, except it wasnt out of place, it broke. Maybe I opened and closed it too much so it broke; like bending a metal clothes hanger back and forth until it eventually brakes. O well. Thanks anyway
