Hey guys,

I think the title says it all. I've been looking for a closed, circumaural headphone for a little while to replace my Sennheiser HD201s. I really want a headphone with a single-sided cord since the cord on the HD201s tangle up all the time. So far, I haven't found anything that suits what I need. Can anyone recommend anything? My budget is around $50. Thanks in advance.

Peace.

i think the beyers recommended are supra-aural. you dont have much choice but to increase your budget if you want new. a good set would be the a500s but those are like 100 new. or mod a pair of cans to be single sided.

Hey everybody,

Thanks a lot for all the replies. Yeah, I figured a recommendation for a headphone of this sort would be a little tough. I actually read the head-fi forums almost everyday and keep up with news, but haven't found much that suits my criteria.

The Beyer DT231s are supraaural, but thanks for the tip anyway.

I haven't heard much about the ATH-M30, but I'll look into it. Care to share your thoughts on it regal? I'll also look into the Sony V6s.

Peace.

Hey guys,

So I've been doing more research and I am close to just purchasing the Sony MDR-D66SL (Eggos). I like the portability factor. They are closed and circumaural right?

If anyone can confirm, my decision is made.

Peace.

Closed I can think of are the DT250-80 Beyers. Their ear cups are still supra but smallish for the class. Can probably pick up a used set in that price range.

Keep an eye out for a used pair of A500s.
