Hello, I am choosing between these headphones and I would like to know more about how open they are in terms of still being able to hear what's going on around me. Is one of them more open than the others? Sennheiser HD 598 Soundmagic HP200 HiFiMAN HE400S Philips Fidelio X2 Audio...- bloodandsoil

Open Ear Headphones Under $400
After some research, I found out that my motherboard's audio circuit includes a Texas Instruments R458012 amplifier. Official product link here (PDF): http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/rc4580.pdf This is pretty technical for me and so I'm hoping someone can break it down and hopefully tell me...- bloodandsoil

Open Ear Headphones Under $400
I enjoy listening to a wide range of music, but the majority of the time it is classical (specifically baroque). I'm not really into a big bass sound at all. Other than that, I do play some first person shooter games and positional sound is extremely important for that.- bloodandsoil

Open Ear Headphones Under $400
Thanks ProtegeManiac. I have a lot to learn and I didn't mean any offense. I really appreciate your feedback. I probably won't be using an amp, and the headphones will be plugged directly into the audio jack of my PC. I built the computer myself and it is just using the onboard sound...- bloodandsoil

Open Ear Headphones Under $400
Thanks! Here are my initial reactions: SoundMAGIC HP200: The company website does not work for me and I could not find the HP200 model, only the HP100. So, not really sure what to think about this one. Philips X2: I guess these are the Fidelio X2/27? They look great. I'll look into these...- bloodandsoil

audio-technica ATH-AD1000X versus ATH-AD900X
I see lots of multiple page threads for other products. I guess that audio-technica is not popular since this post is getting buried already without anyone commenting on the AD1000X versus AD900X. So does anyone suggest a better low impedance open headphone?- bloodandsoil

audio-technica art monitor ath-a900 problem
Hi, about three years ago, on positive review on this forum, I purchased these headphones. I liked them very much, especially on non-amplified systems due to the low impedance... ...but now the right side is silent. The left muff (the one the audio cable comes into) sounds normal. I have...- bloodandsoil

Greetings. I am interested in a review or comments on the differences between these two speakers? I'll be using them with my laptop (cheapo integrated sound board) and later on with my desktop which has a Creative Labs X-Fi sound card. Thanks in advance!- bloodandsoil

Computer Speakers ~$200
I'm looking for a set of computer speakers in the range of $200. My computer is using the X-Fi XtremeGamer sound card. I'm not sure about surround sound. Does that really work? How do you make the space to put speakers behind you? I'm thinking that I might just want a set of regular 2.1...- bloodandsoil

Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer. The three output ports look identical, except that one is labeled with "1" and is green, the other with "2" and is blue, and the other with "3" and is pink. They all have the picture representing output--the ((( ))) with the arrow coming out of it.- bloodandsoil
