The AKG K7XX Massdrop First Edition Thread
Where do you find replacement earpads for the K7XX for future repairs? I emailed AKG and they had absolutely no idea what I was talking about! They told me to contact JBL. I imagine they are quite pricey if you can find them.- FordGT

The Deals DISCUSSION Thread (READ THE FIRST POST!!!)
Guys, between the Shure SE215 and the Fidue A71Ti which is the better buy at the same price? The MassDrop deal looks decent but I had my heart set on getting the A71Ti's. I'm looking for a warmer sounding earphone with a bit more bass and both of these seem to fit that category. I thought about...- FordGT

New release - the AKG K553 Pro - featuring a killer Massdrop deal
I currently use a pair of Monster Turbine's for music and gaming, which I really like, and I have been looking for a decent closed-back headphone and the K553 is on the top of my list. Is the sound that neutral and flat? I mean I like some bass The thin ear pads also worry me because a lot of...- FordGT

Monster Turbine dead after two months in and support does not reply? EDIT: Monster Support Sucks, do not buy.
I learned my lesson after having to wait 5 months for a replacement pair of Turbine's to be sent out. This was my third RMA because the right side speaker keeps losing bass. It didn't matter what day of the week or what time of day I called, the wait time was the same. While calling is...- FordGT

Monster Turbine Appreciation Thread
I received my replacement Turbine's today. They were shipped from Monster in Las Vegas, NV. It's too bad that the retail price for these is so low now otherwise I would sell them. Without even removing the plastic wrap I know these will eventually have driver flex as well. Do you think...- FordGT

Is anyone else waiting for a replacement set from Monster? I sent my Turbines to them in September and every time I call back they keep telling me that they expect stock within a few weeks. Obviously those few weeks have turned into months and still no headphones. What the heck is...- FordGT

Monster Turbine Replacement
I am still looking for a replacement set of earphones. I sent my Turbines to Monster and they have had them since mid-October because they have none in stock. Are there any earphones out there that sound like my Turbine's? Anything from Meelec or Logitech? Please help guys! ...- FordGT

Monster Turbine Appreciation Thread
I'm on my second pair because of driver flex and I thought I had it sort of under control. Every few days the left side would flex and the sound would become tiny with a dramatic loss of bass. Today it did it again but even after popping it back in place using a little pressure(gently blowing...- FordGT

Monster Turbine Replacement
I could, but they will just go bad. My Turbine's are what I use at my desk at home so they never move from there. They were never dropped or misused in any way since they just sit there when not in use. I even made sure to gently remove them so this issue wouldn't happen and it did anyway...- FordGT

Monster Turbine Replacement
I bought a pair of Turbine's a few months ago and that pair started losing bass in the left speaker. I RMA'd them to Monster four weeks ago and now this pair has the same problem with the missing bass/tiny sound. It seems to be driver flex but I cannot get it to pop back. I have tried a variety...- FordGT

I have only used my pair a few times and I'm always careful with every set of IEM's I use, no matter the price. I have always grabbed by the housing itself and gently twisted 30-40 degrees until they pop out of my ears.- FordGT

A price for exchanging them for the new version. I doubt they would offer free "upgrades" to the new version, especially since we bought them on sale. Can anyone check to see if the little rubber stalk supports are slightly loose on their Turbine's? It's the piece right where the...- FordGT

The support stalk on my right ear bud is already loose. I have used my Turbine's 5 times since I got them last week. Wow. Every listening session was done sitting in front of my computer working in Photoshop so it certainly was not misuse. I emailed Monster as well and they told me if I...- FordGT

MEElectronics M9P Imbalance
Meelec sent me a replacement set but they sound even worse than the first pair. Imagine a muffled wedding singer who has a cold. That is what it sounds like. The bass is way too boomy, mids come and go depending on the song and the highs sound distant and almost behind my head. I have...- FordGT

I can already hear a difference after a few hours of burn in and I'm very impressed. I put the medium sized Meelec mushroom tips on and now the fit is much better. I'm not 100% sure that the balance is correct but even with just a slight difference in seal between ears the sound changes.- FordGT

Maybe I'm getting OCD from listening to my imbalanced Meelec M9's but I swear my new Turbines have the same issue. It sounds like vocals are more pronounced on the right speaker. If I switch them around the vocals become louder on the left so it must be the headphones. I have tried my iPod and...- FordGT

MEElectronics M9P Imbalance
I ordered some M9P's from Newegg to replace my Zune v2 headphones that I use for music on the go and while they sound good the imbalance is quite bad. The right channel is 2-3 volume levels above the left channel. Is this common? I contacted MeElectronics and they said they would replace them so...- FordGT

Any Zune owners out there?
I'm trying to decide on whether to buy the Zune 120 or the new iPod Touch 2G. How is the Zune 120's screen? I have heard about the "screen door effect. This is where you can see small black lines in between each pixel because of the resolution to screen size ratio. Is this true? The only...- FordGT
