iFi iDSD Micro DSD512 / PCM768 DAC and Headphone Amp. Impressions, Reviews and Comments.
So re-installed 5.2B, it still has the playback issue, however, I am starting to think that it may be correlating with movement. If I have the player/phone on my lap while listening on a recliner, I started to notice that if the player or phone moves a bit, the issue seems more prevalent. This...- CD44hi

iFi iDSD Micro DSD512 / PCM768 DAC and Headphone Amp. Impressions, Reviews and Comments.
In reading a few pages back I noticed that some are having issues with playback cutting out from an Iphone to the iDSD, I was wondering if a solution for this issue has been found, since I am experiencing the same issue. It doesn't matter which app is sending the music out to the iDSD, i.e...- CD44hi

Klipsch Image X10 for $94 (usually $350)!!
My guess is that a good seal may be missing with the person up in the thread. Maybe trying the other tips before sending them back... I can see the X10 not having the "breath" and resolution of the UE10pro, but again for the price, in comparison I find them quite good.- CD44hi

New Flagship from Audio-Technica: ATH-W3000ANV, 50th Anniversary Headphones
Both headphones have good midrange presentation. However, the L3000 have a specific coloration that is a bit hard to pinpoint depending on the amplification. In terms of comfort, the L3000 have a "plusher" fit and are heavier. The L3000 cable is obtrusive enough that you are pretty much...- CD44hi

New Flagship from Audio-Technica: ATH-W3000ANV, 50th Anniversary Headphones
Long time AT user here. The bass is of better quality than that of W1000, W1000X or W5000. It's more vivid and focused. However, the king of AT bass is still the Ath-L3000. My biggest complaint is the fit. It needs adjustment, just like the W5000. Of course it is user specific. But if you...- CD44hi

Hirsch's Ultra Fabulous August 24th Headphone Meet Has Occurred
Hi all, I've been sorting out impressions of the equipment I heard at Hirsch's....... I should say that I almost completely missed the meet, but at the last minute managed to attend for a couple of hours. My favorite set was the Creek CD53--SP Supra-- R10s. HELP! New MKIII not working!!!
Are using a LOD or connecting your cable directly into the ipod's headphone jack? IF the latter, make sure your volume on the ipod is nearly maxed out, otherwise you would not hear anything on the headphone amp's output side... If the former, I don't have any suggestions right off the bat...- CD44hi

Ultimate Ears Custom cable line faulty?
I also agree that the new cable is not very good. The original thicker cable was much better. Hopefully they'll revert to something similar in the future. I actually wrote them about it, but never heard back. Although I admit that it was during the transition period, so probably more pressing...- CD44hi
