Haha well after a nights sleep I tried the line out again it sounds so much better. My ears were just used to lots of bass from double bassing..:P- mdh994

I just tried plugging into the line out and with the m50xs there is no bass at all even with the bass switch on. Will it damage one of the devices?- mdh994

Yea probably am. But its really handy to have a volune knob instead of buttons but with the headphone out you can adjust bass and treble on fiio aswell as having the bass switch which gives more bass. :) is double amping bad?- mdh994

My Fiio E12 arrived today, safe to say, results were better then expected :D the bass switch on the side plus the fiio's bass settings, gives such a solid thud in my m50x's :D- mdh994

Just wondering, I have a pair of m50x's and a pair of shure se215, I own a fiio x3 first generation and i am just wondering if the E12 will improve sound quality. Headphone Jack Broke, Now What?
Buy a fiio x3, then you can use it as a mp3 player aswell as a dac, sound is perfect for me, and you also have a bass and treble udjust. :) just something to consider.- mdh994

FiiO X3 firmware 3.21 download and discussion thread
Working fine,if you tag your library propely u will havd no issues, I have all album covers at 650x650, they work smoothly no freezes. That new all songs from the artist is something i really wanted, so much better. All i want now is a black and green theme like the orange and black one. :) -
Best On-Ear/Over-Ear Headphones under $200

The e6 works awesome with lg optimus G, Lg doesn't make very good audio. :P I usually use the mid boost, the bass boosts sounds muddy. I only use it for my Optimus, i havn't bothered trying it with the x3 because the inbuilt amp is better in it then the e6 :P- mdh994

The Fiio X3 Thread.
I have both of them, they make an awesome combo, its damn bassy but it isnt over bassy, it doesnt intrude into the other ranges, its tight and controlled, i also use m50xs with my x3, with bass on 10. Man they are amazing, everything is clear, bass is load and deep and controlled. I am one happy...- mdh994

Announcing the all-new X3 firmware 3.0
Just gotmy fiio x3,upgraded straight to version 3, so far working awesome, album covers are all 650x650, they are a bit slow to come up but i use foobar on pc so any lower they become blury, nothing to complain about. The dac feature is awesome and the bass and treble adjustments do alot. The ui...
