I think that one good pair of headphones has its value through times. Agree with the fact that at 550$ one D2000 even brand new is not a right deal. But to me, personally, I prefer my old bad boy D2000 full stock than a new shiny Momentum of Senn which is for sale at about 300 ball on amazon...- hunolina

Haha, yeah, we are in the cruel world. Somehow, my dac Matrix mini and my little Soundmagic E10M are 100% cn.cn , but they rock great . Can't say that all things come from Chn are worse but have to take precaution for our own good.- hunolina

Haha, i have both 201 and 202 version 1, and they are nothing to compare between each other, the 202 is far far far better than the 201 from comfort to quality sound. Trust me, I was a very crazy fan of Sennheinser before Denon and I did test almost of cheap cans from Sennh , haha.- hunolina

Hey, I have this pair of headphones since 2005 and the moment i write this comment, he has his 9th years old. It is still in very good condition despite the fact that i use it almost every morning on train or tube traffic to get to work. It has a very light weight so you wont be tired of wearing...- hunolina

Sennheiser HD598 Amp Suggestion?
ah ok, Fiio E12 is not bad for bringing around, but i did not try it out with the hd598 so can't tell you more. but i guess it can be ok, because I did try the fiio E12 with one Sennheiser HD555 and it was not bad at all :)- hunolina

Personally, I think that the wood chosen for the series D5k and D7k is really hard rocking best wood. I did read somewhere on the net that they were made by 100% mahogany redwood with production procedure strictly respected from wood dry up to number of treatment layers. Haha, i mean Lawtonaudio pads . I did have a chance to touch one D7x with Lawton Audio's cups all I can say that : he does amazingly well, all the side and it fits fully to the headphones, and it looks like these cups were made officially from Denon's factory. with respect MrAdrian, what you said is right , totally agree. But I think that those wood cups are ok for his D2000 :D , I will do like him next month :D, love my D2000 and want to renew him a little bit (even I'm really ok with my new D5000) My D5000 costs me about 600$ all fee...- hunolina

I plug them into my dac amp Matrix mini http://www.head-fi.org/products/matrix-mini-i-dac it is true that in the play list i have some tracks are mp3 and some are flac and wav , but, it is strange that with the D2K I don't really need to change the volume more often than with the D5k...- hunolina

Are there more comfortable headphones then Beyers and the Sennheiser HD598?
I have one pair of Senn HD598 and i find it really really comfortable and light. I can have it for about 5 hours too, but it is true that the hd598 still seem to be plastic stuff compared to other high end headphone like Denon or Audio technica.- hunolina

I can agree with you, Danny, I just have owned one pair of HD598 and it sounds amazingly with my ampli dac Matrix. I can compare it with my beloved Denon D2000. The HD598 is lacking a little bit warm with my style of music compared to my D2000 or Corsair Vengenance 2000, but i think i will have...- hunolina
