There's not a whole lot of variance as to how the Senn. HD 380s sit over your ears...  Perhaps with other phones...   At any rate, the difference is just too pronounced between the two...   These are only my opinions based on my experience with these particular headphones... Your mileage...

I use the ATH M 50 and Sennheiser HD 380 Pro for my digital keyboard, both right out of the keyboard's phone jack, and also with a Little Dot LD 1+ sitting on top of the keyboard ... And I think they both do a great job with all the voices on the instrument...   So, I would say both headphones...

Well, I got my muses02 in today, and you know I just had to put it in... Anyway, it's acting like any new device:  A little subdued at first... Put a looped demo on my digital piano ( where I have my LD 1+ right now)... Just running it in for a few hours...   I'm currently running the WE 408A...

  Ilove: I'd like to be able to do that; however, I currently have my LD1+ on top of my digital piano, and with the WE408A tubes, the unit runs a lot hotter... I know the top of the Yamaha CP 300 is metal, and that it can take a certain amount of heat... But I don't know how much before it...

  Ilove: Just an idea: If you want to really make the edge of your cut look pro, try using a sharpie pen on the cut edge... After that, no one will know it wasn't a factory job... It comes up shiny black, just like the exterior of chassis... PS: A little needle file work, and fine grit cloth...

  Sorry, G... I just couldn't help myself... I changed the tubes and the op amp... The first thing I noticed was that there was no break-in hum at all with the WE 408A tubes... I also noticed that they don't light up as much as the 6J1 tubes... I did shift the jumpers to '408A'  from '6J1'...

Thanks... Your info arrived just in time... I got my BB 2107AP in the mail this aft... I think I'll roll the WE 408As in, along with the BB op amp this eve... Will report later... Have a feeling it may take awhile to hear a difference...
