IEMs: Was I Right About Comfort?
For me wearing headphones is as comfortable as wearing helmet. The most comfortable IEM would be IEMs with front vent so you don't get pressure on eardrums, small nozzles and appropriate fitting silicone.- HAMS

I tried it with EQ. Reducing upper treble make soundstage less wider or "more 3D", for me it is just less resolution. So I guess FR can contribute partially to soundstage.- HAMS

Those metal mesh only function as dirt filter and won't change the sound. A damper like nylon or foam on the other hand are used to tune the treble.- HAMS

Crackling noises in certain passages such as female vocals with IEMs, but only in the left ear
Distortion? try slow sine sweep if you can find any distortion. It happened to me before, I found out it caused by blocked filter.- HAMS

Why don't more people worry about earwax in IEMs?
I cut low density sponge from dishwasher and stuff it inside the nozzles. Otherwise I usually inspect the nozzles every few days if I use it often and it only need minimal cleaning.- HAMS

CHIFI LOVE Thread-A never ending IEM-Heaphones-DAP-Dongles Sound Value Quest
It is better than plain round cable, less tangle, more durable, a bit stiffer but that also depends on materials. The reason why it is not popular anymore is probably because braided cables are looks way more fancy.- HAMS

I thought that damper material does not makes any difference as long it has the same acoustic resistance. Though In my experience the film dampers are more prone to clogging by moisture compared to foams.- HAMS

KZ done with hybrid for now, talking about "tecnicality" I actually prefer my old Zsn with PEQ over Zex pro. The BA gives it details without making it harsh, also better soundstage.- HAMS

If I look at the graph again it looks like moondrop chu with extra damper. I might pass Tanchjim Ola and moondrop chu for this, the build look the best between the three.- HAMS
