Audio-Technica ATH-CKS1100 Impressions & Discussion Thread
I have had them for the weekend now, full review will be when I get my Fiio E12A but for now a first impression. Compared to my IE80s wich already have a great bass the entire lower spectrum is amazing. The rest of the spectrum is a bit less detailed although the soundstage is pretty wide and...- Cornelisjuh

Photos look great! How would you describe the fit in your ears with them being so big? Have you tried them with any custom foam tips(Comply etc)?- Cornelisjuh

What would be the best place to buy these for someone in Europe? I dont care if it costs a bit more. Also would I need an amp with this piece? They seem like a good replacement for my broken IE80s- Cornelisjuh

What would be a good replacement for an IE80? Around the same price, too. Detachable cables are a must. I am waiting till http://www.head-fi.org/t/784376/new-audio-technica-solid-bass-flagship-iem-ath-cks1100 so I have some time to read reviews till I decide. Thanks!- Cornelisjuh

Sennheiser IE80's Impressions Thread
After 7 months my replacementcable from custom-cable.co.uk broke :( Still very keen on my IE80's so I'm getting new cables, but pretty dissapointed they broke so quickly even though I'm always very careful with them.... It seems something broke or is lose inside the 3mm jack, when I press it...- Cornelisjuh

Sennheiser IE80's Impressions Thread
Sound quality wise I dont hear any difference. But it has been a while since I used my IE80s so I need to give it a few more days. But so far so good. As for the thickness, one might find a less stiff cable better, the other finds it annoying. I dont have equipment to really objectively test...- Cornelisjuh

Sennheiser IE80's Impressions Thread
However, after some more use I found two differences. One was that it was way harder to plug the earmodule in the cable and two that the cable itself is thinner, or more flexible. My old cable could almost freeze stiff when it was cold but these stay soft.- Cornelisjuh

Yes, that one! The mailman just brought the packet here, have been listening to them for 10 minutes and they sound exactly identical. The package was just like other Sennheiser spareparts. No doubt these are original cables! Well worth the price. Great service too, bought on thursday, send on...- Cornelisjuh

Still pretty happy with my IE80, recently "upgraded" from my 2nd generation iPod touch to an iPod classic 160GB. No a big different soundwise the only thing that bothers me is that it doesnt respond as well on the lower volume settings as it did on my iPod Touch. Will an amp fix this? Also the...- Cornelisjuh

Switching from iPod touch to iPod classic, having some questions.
Hey all! Just bought an used iPod Classic 160GB so I can carry al my music in ALAC without worrying about space too much. I used to use my 2nd/3rd generation iPod touch 8GB. I used it in combination with the Sennheiser IE80, no amps. Sound was great. But I wonder if there are any difference...- Cornelisjuh

Now I am using an iPod touch 3G with and Sennheiser IE80. Sound quality is alright. The problem is though, it's only 8GB's. Good seperation ? I have also looked at the EPH-100s but they seem so fragile, not to mention the weird tips. But hey, if they sound good :) Hmm, after some good reads now I think the IE8(0) is the best option. What are the difference between the IE8 and the IE80 ? Wich one to buy ...- Cornelisjuh
