Online store for interconnects in europe
I'm looking for an online store in Europe with good interconnects in the $50-$100 (same in euros). Aside from the link, adding the cable model would be a plus. I'll probably be using them to connect a Philips 963A to a NAD 3XX integrated amp. thanks- dr.orange

Any Orishas fans out there?
orishas are great. There second album is just as strong as their first; I have trouble deciding which I like more. I don't recall any italian in their songs, but there are parts in french too. They're actually based in Paris now, I believe. -
terratec aureon soundcards
The Space uses an Envy24HT chip, and the Sky might as well (unconfirmed). Fun uses something else. That's all I know that isn't listed on their site like i/o connections. I'm wondering if there will be a version with a 6fire 5 1/4 box. Here's a list of prices in germany (a euro is a lil'...- dr.orange

Audigy2 review
Review of the Audigy2 spotted at digit-life. It seems that the sound quality is a lot better than the Audigy (1). Unfortunately the author doesn't compare it to similar cards such as the Terratec's 6fire or their soon to be released Aureon line.- dr.orange

Need recommendation: Getting quality coaxial SP/DIF output from the PC
Taoster your best bet is probably commercial OSS drivers. http://www.opensound.com They have native OpenBSD drivers. The Audiophile and the 6fire are supported, though they're still working on getting all the connections on the 6fire's box to work (only midi is working). The driver is $20...- dr.orange

Swapping pads on the ATH-W100
I've had a completely different experience regarding sonic changes after replacing the pads. The soundstage seems wider to me now and overall the sound has more dimension. I'd say the w100 sound a lot more like I expected them to sound, based on reviews I read prior to purchase. Based on my...- dr.orange

Your Fav Simpsons episodes!
The one were Bart gets a credit card and buys a punch of stuff, including a lassie like dog. I love the part were Milhouse, referring to santa's litte helper says, "Remember when he ate my goldfish, and then you lied to me and said I never had any goldfish. But why did I have the bowl Bart? Classical Guitar Music
For spanish stuff: Tomatito Paco de Lucía Ramón de Algeciras Enrique de Melchor I'd go for pure instrumental avoiding anything with singing in it; unless you like the singing too. -
Can I listen to vinyl through TerraTec DMX 6fire 24/96?
That response was from the ppl that make the oss drivers (for OSs like freebsd, linux, etc) and therefore, only applies to these. No wonder the response sounded confusing. Terratec's reponse: "You can monitor in real time." So the answer is "yes" if you're using windows.- dr.orange

Can I listen to vinyl through TerraTec DMX 6fire 24/96?
From Terratec: "You can only use the phono in feature (RIAA filter) for recording from vinyl records. Unlike with the Windows drivers the filter is not active while listening the records. To use the phono feature you need to turn on the 6fire.riaa flag with ossmix/ossxmix and also set...- dr.orange
