Now that we've seen China making multi-driver IEM's that compete with the big boys why are others still charging so much? Whose buying?
After buying the so called giant killer 5ba kz as10 everyone was going on about when they came out i was actually seriously disappointed when i heard them. Why would 8 equally cheap drivers sound any better? Learned from all the chifi crap that i'm more than happy with my lz a4- tegR

Schiit Owners Unite
My budget can change depending on how much i need/want something. I am pretty happy with my zxr soundcard, but there is no way to properly amp straight out of it which is why i'm after a combo. Plan to spdif into dac>amp, that way i can switch between the outputs easily through the soundblaster...- tegR

Hello guys, seems like the perfect thread to ask. Expecting the Fostex t20rp mk3 any day now and have read they require a fair bit of drive to bring out the best. Mind is pretty set on the Magni/Modi 3 combo at the moment but wondering if there are better alternatives (between £200-300) i may...- tegR

LZ-A4 Impressions and Discussion Thread
I too get partial loss of sound after a couple hours. Yes it is to do with moisture, for a long time thought it was just my ears, have always had this with pretty much every earphone (using filters). Just had a quick look and the black tips i've been using do have filters in them. For those...- tegR

Knowledge Zenith (KZ) impressions thread
To my ears both my zircon have more mid bass, sound cleaner, and reach way lower than the zs3. Maybe i'm not getting a proper seal with zs3, although to me it feels like i am as 1 side wants to constantly vacuum. As nice as they look, i've just given up trying to like them and the ed12.- tegR

Q701 impressions thread
I rarely follow this thread so most likely a repost. For anyone with time wanting to replace the the headband, you can buy flat ones from ebay. No idea whether they are genuine or not, sit more flat/straight original, but that doesn't bother me now i can wear them for more than 20 mins. Put on...- tegR

JVC HP-DX1000 Owners Unite!
Sounds really flat and getting about 10% sound vs the working side. From what i can hear through the working side though, lovely sound even before "burn in". Only tried through my zxr so far, will buy a 3.5mm adaptor tomorrow so i can test it through another source. Cheers guys- tegR

I didn't bother to research anything before buying, just saw the price/buyers/location UK and assumed it so. I received them in 5 days and pretty sure they were sent over seas. Seem pretty legit to me- tegR

Ultimate Ears UE 900 Discussion and Impressions Thread
My left side does cut out when i twist the cable at the connector with both cables. Probably a little unfair to test it this way as it doesn't move once it's in your ears, but i had to be sure. So the problem may still be there for some 900s users. I am hoping over time with the fluid it...- tegR

Received mine just now and they are the unibody 900s version. Prior to placing the order on them i had done no research, didn't even know or see mine were the s version, just remember how much i wanted them when they were released, saw the price tag of £150 and thought bargain. I have to...- tegR

TDK BA200 Thread
Quote: I wouldn't say a lot of bass. Well it depends on the amount of bass you are used to hearing. On full whack you probably won't even get to 30% of the bass your tours give. If you are not used to bass light phones (like me) it's going to take a while to appreciate the bass. I...- tegR

Quote: HAHAHA! omg, was drinking my tea and burst out laughing at this. I hate/love you! Actually no, you shouldn't, no matter what they are or what any one around here says. After some proper burn in, If you feel they are dodgy send 'em back. Thanks for the laugh- tegR

LF: IEM Version of AKG's Q701
uhm... ba200 anyone? Sure the bass is on the light side, but more fun than the b2 from what i've read and a tiny bit laid back. It's the closest thing i've heard... then again i haven't heard that many. I'm hoping the 3/4ai from heir audio will be the one. "Fingers crossed*- tegR
