    Audeze LCD-2 Impressions Thread

The Dekoni pads are not dry, it looks like that because the layer with the glue has peeled off the earpad. Looks exactly the same when i had to pull off my old Dekoni pads to replace them. Instead of the glue layer coming off, the pad itself gave way. :( I doubt you'll be able to glue them back...

HIFIMAN Arya - Arya Stealth - Arya Organic :: Impressions Thread

I was hoping to be able to find OEM replacements. I've had bad experiences in the past trying to get earpad replacements for my Beyer T1 (1st gen) and Shure SRH1540. After going thru many different 3rd party pads from amazon, ebay, aliexpress, etc, all of which either didn't even fit or...

HIFIMAN Arya - Arya Stealth - Arya Organic :: Impressions Thread

Not sure if this has been answered before in this mega thread but i couldn't find anything using a search. Anyway, here goes. I have an Arya V2 and it's been great. But in the super hot & humid climate we have here in Singapore, the pleather on my headband strap has all but disintegrated. I've...

Audeze - Our Maxwell Gaming Headsets! (latest: Firmware v61 and HQ v97)

I've had both the Maxwell and Deva Pro (wireless) for some time now. My use cases for them are quite different though so it's not really an apples to apples comparison. The Maxwell i typically use for work calls when i'm working from home, and occasionally for gaming. Don't really use them much...

    ThieAudio Signature Series Tribrid IEMs

Yep, didn't want to shell out extra for the more bling designs. And also something understated would be easier to sometimes sneak in for use in the office. 😁

    ThieAudio Signature Series Tribrid IEMs

Thanks for the kind words and encouragement, maybe i'll write a review once i've clocked more hours and lived with the MMk3s abit. I've updated my earlier impressions as i think there were some issues with the first listen via my phone. Meanwhile, some snaps of the faceplates with my phone.

    ThieAudio Signature Series Tribrid IEMs

Received my Monarch Mk3s yesterday. Here are some initial impressions based on the first few hours. 1st impression - Unboxing As touched on by some other reviewers, the packaging is really quite meh for the price. Very standard selection of tips. Carrying case is okayish, abit large though...

    ThieAudio Signature Series Tribrid IEMs

I just pulled the trigger on the Mk3s yesterday, as my IEM end-game. Looks like the ETA is this friday (it's a local seller here in Singapore, so delivery is usually very fast if there's stock). Will update on some personal impressions once i get them in though i'm neither a serious audiophile...

    Denon D2000/D5000, MD2000/MD5000 Thread!

I switched to this pair of pads on my D2000 back in Jan: https://www.amazon.com/SHEEPSKIN-compatible-Massdrop-AH-D2000-headphones/dp/B07X1L287G/ref=psdc_13880181_t2_B07PPQGBBY Pretty thick, maybe thicker than stock (can't quite remember how thick those were as it's been awhile since i've been...

Reply to review by 'Denosha' on item 'HIFIMAN HE-R9 Closed Back Dynamic Headphones'

Nice review, agree with most of your points. Not sure why you said you can't use 'em balanced with the dual 3.5mm though. I have my R9 hooked up via Hart Audio cable with dual 3.5mm to modular XLR connector.

Audeze - Our Maxwell Gaming Headsets! (latest: Firmware v61 and HQ v97)

For me the Maxwell is surprisingly comfortable despite the weight and (slightly) smallish earpads. I have the top strap at the max setting so i don't think i'm getting much of the suspension effect though. Clamp force is abit on the heavy side but i think it helps to distribute the weight quite...

DEVA Pro with Bluemini R2R--Combining the Best of the HIFIMAN Latest Developments

I got my bluemini replaced at the local dealer yesterday. New one is perfect and doesn't have the same weird noise/static coming from the left earcup. The staff thinks it might be some sort of grounding issue on my original bluemini, but anyway they will send it back to Hifiman to check.

Earpads for the Hifiman Arya Now Available!

I've changed mine before (with another pair of stock pads) and it was quite a struggle for me, especially trying to get the replacement pads to click back in. Like you, was pretty worried about pressing too firmly, but more of ruining the new pads. My original ones barely lasted a year before...

DEVA Pro with Bluemini R2R--Combining the Best of the HIFIMAN Latest Developments

Yeah, it kinda sounds like that to me as well. I've also noticed that the static volume stays constant, even if you lower the source volume down, so it really becomes super obvious. Will probably show this behavior to my dealer to demonstrate the issue.

DEVA Pro with Bluemini R2R--Combining the Best of the HIFIMAN Latest Developments

Yeah, my first thought was also RFI but no the areas are different. One of them is "quite clean" and the other is next to my wifi router, the noise level is the same. Anyway, i also tried it with the USB-C connection to take BT out of the equation and the noise is also there, so it really seems...

DEVA Pro with Bluemini R2R--Combining the Best of the HIFIMAN Latest Developments

So i've also tried it paired to my phone instead, and also on apt-x. The static is still there. It's there regardless of which app i'm using, youtube, netflix, spotify, etc. Maybe there's something wrong with my bluemini. I'll try reaching out for support.

DEVA Pro with Bluemini R2R--Combining the Best of the HIFIMAN Latest Developments

I've recently developed this issue on my Deva Pro on BT (LDAC) from my Shield, which i never had before. When there is audio playing, i can hear static and some interference type noises, only from the left side. The volume and intensity intermittently increases and decreases and while it doesn't...

DEVA Pro with Bluemini R2R--Combining the Best of the HIFIMAN Latest Developments

More like sound profile (tonality). I found the impressions video . I haven't heard any LCDs with the fazors but even on the LCD-2 i don't find the soundstage wide. Kind of sounds like the stealth magnets though. From what i've heard, on the Arya V3 it also kills the sound stage from the...

DEVA Pro with Bluemini R2R--Combining the Best of the HIFIMAN Latest Developments

I was also looking at the Drop Panda for some time but i heard about the QC issues, possible fit problems and lack of LDAC, and decided to pass. I read some review/post or watched some video where the reviewer mentioned he finds the sound profile of the Deva Pro with the stealth magnets very...

DEVA Pro with Bluemini R2R--Combining the Best of the HIFIMAN Latest Developments

I only have the non-fazor original LCD-2 and Arya for comparison but really, even between those 2 cans, they sound very different. But just to update on my initial out-of-box impressions based on wired, after many 10s of hours of burn-in (i just use them wired throughout the day, not my usual...

DEVA Pro with Bluemini R2R--Combining the Best of the HIFIMAN Latest Developments

Hmm.. strange, the bluemini on my set fits very snugly. And yeah, they are already plenty loud at only around 1/3 volume on my shield. The Deva Pro is my second pair of Hifimans, the first being the 2nd gen Arya. So far the QC for the headphones themselves seems ok, although i've also tended...

DEVA Pro with Bluemini R2R--Combining the Best of the HIFIMAN Latest Developments

Tried Bluetooth last night (LDAC on my Nvidia Shield TV Pro) and wow, this thing does not sound like a wireless headphone at all, none of that usual squashing of dynamics, lost detail and compression artifacts. There is abit of extra latency (~20ms) with this setup though but i can compensate...

DEVA Pro with Bluemini R2R--Combining the Best of the HIFIMAN Latest Developments

Just received mine and doing some initial listening to via wired (using my Arya stock cable) while the Bluemini charges. Running off a Schitt Vali 2 paired to a Modi 3. Initial impressions to my ears is that they are abit on the brighter side compared to my other cans, even the Arya or 1st Gen...

DEVA Pro with Bluemini R2R--Combining the Best of the HIFIMAN Latest Developments

I had the same problem with finding replacements for the headbands on my Denon D2000 (peeling) and Beyer T1 (foam padding totally deflated) so i got ZMF Pilot Pads to wrap the headbands instead. Super comfy and they have been holding up very well. But they add quite a fair bit of thickness so i...
