Upgrade from AKG K240S - recommendations needed.
Hello folks, I'd need someone to help me out here. Basically I've been using my K240S for a long time, now I'm looking for an upgrade to them. Apparently I'm a very tough customer, I've owned a few other, more high-end headphones over the time, yet I always reverted back to the AKGs. I...- littlenoises

AKG-style auto adjust headband on other headphones?
I really like the way my K240 adjust themselves to my head without me having to setup the correct length beforehand. Are there any other manufacturers that employ a similar system? For me it's somehow a major hassle with my other cans (DT880).- littlenoises

What headphones are you currently rocking?
Currently switching between the K240 and DT880/600 when I want to go with full size. Still I think they're being outperformed by my Westone 4 but I can't always run around with something stuck in my ears - even with the super comfortable PA910S tips I'm starting to get a headache after about 3...- littlenoises

Flawless albums
Mount Eerie - Lost Wisdom. Short and sweet lo-fi goodness that never ceases to amaze me. Easily my most favourite album. Mono - For My Parents. Orchestral Post-Rock with lots of dynamics. Goosebumps throughout, epic music in the most literal sense of the word.- littlenoises

Best keyboards for gaming!
I'm currently using a DasKeyboard Model S, really love the tactile feel of those keyswitches. Though I suppose that keyboard might be a little too slow for really fast FPSes (I don't really play those).- littlenoises

Epiphany Acoustics join Head-Fi with the EHP-O2 portable headphone amp
Hi, I've been running the O2 for quite some time now and I'm absolutely satisfied and totally happy with it. The sound is AWESOME and the amp itself is really beautiful. This "clipping sound" you mention... is this the hideous loud beep that sort of rhytmically appears when the batteries...- littlenoises

Help getting first turntable
I don't think you'd even need 400$ if you're willing to go with a used TT. The setup I'm currently using consists of a well-kept Technics SL-D2 (50$ used), that might not be very good looking but functional and of quite high quality. I found the Sumiko Pearl cartridge (100$) to work...- littlenoises

Advice needed to replace Sennheiser IE6
And in the end... it turned out to be neither the TF10 nor the FXT90. I managed to get a good deal on a pair of Westone 4s, they should arrive pretty soon :D I've read a few reviews beforehand, from what they tell me I'm really gonna like this one.- littlenoises

The niche electronic music thread - synthpop / EBM / dark-electro / gothic / rythmic-noise / experimental / chiptune / etc.
What about The Mount Fuji Doomjazz Corporation? And for really good, long post-rock with nice ,orgasmic peaks MONO is hard to beat.- littlenoises

Advice needed to replace Sennheiser IE6
I'm leaning heavily towards the TF10 because it subjectively appeals to me more (something about the design of the JVCs irks me). One last question though: Does the TF10 fit in small ears without problems?- littlenoises

Advice needed to replace Sennheiser IE6
The FXT90 look great and the TF10 are a steal for the money indeed! However I've read some discussions about the TF10's cables breaking easily... since I use my IEMs quite extensively that wouldn't be nice. Still I'm leaning more towards the TF10 here based on their reputation (the FXT90s...- littlenoises

Advice needed to replace Sennheiser IE6
Thanks for the quick response. I don't know why, but the Klipsch and Etymotics look like toys to me. Of course I haven't heard them yet, but they certainly don't look durable. On the other hand the XBA-3s and the Earsonic SM3 V2s appeal to me. The only problem is that the SM3s cost a...- littlenoises

Advice needed to replace Sennheiser IE6
So I've been having my Sennheiser IE6 for some time now and am overall quite content with the sound. What's really unnerving though is that I can't listen for longer periods of time with them because they're so uncomfortable that I always end up getting a headache. I've been using Comply...- littlenoises
