New Site Platform Bug Reports and Feedback Thread
I wonder if this is a bug of the forum itself or my account has any restriction? Recently I got at least 3 people couldn't send me private messages. All of them are not newly-joined members. I tried to PM them and the messages were all sent without any problems :-/ Still not sure why. Please...- kytuphicanh

LH Labs' gorgeous Vi Dac ( Tube + SS outputs )
Pretty sure it's a $15 "upgrade". Vishay resistors are damn cheap (<$0.7/ea), except they opt for the TX2575 ($20/ea) which I doubt they would. I saw their tube stage, very standard 6dj8 buffer circuit.- kytuphicanh

What do you think of the AKM VERITA AK4490 DAC chip?
DAC chips alone don't tell much about the sound. Implementation is extremely important, you can't just throw super-high specs DAC in and get exactly the specs in the datasheet. Also, the output stage plays a vastly role in deciding the final sound. My 2 favorite types of output stages are...- kytuphicanh

Review by 'kytuphicanh' on item 'FiiO X3 2nd gen Ultraportable Hi-Res DAP'
2 years ago when Fiio X3 came in place, I was so proud to say that it was one the best high quality digital audio player on the market at that time with a very good smooth sound, engaging bass response and also a very dark background, which was suitable for kinds of headphones and tastes. And X3...- kytuphicanh

REVIEW - AUNE AUDIO S16 - Single box DAC and Headphone Amplifier.
Intro Aune has successfully builds their reputation in the audiophiles’ community and market for quite a long time by their entry-level products. Their most notable product was the entry-level DAC/Amp combo T1, which was a big hit and serious contender in the $200 range, and has been replaced...- kytuphicanh

the CTH (Compact Tube Hybrid) Rev A thread...
I am beginning to gather parts for the CTH build. My main 'phones would be the Koss KSC35 (60ohms @ 101db) and the only tube I am going to use is the 6f8g. Any suggestions regarding parts choice for this build? :) Also, which one of these would be the correct adapter? I think the 6f8g->6ca7...- kytuphicanh

S-EM6, 1p2 with Uber , TG334 or FAD 1602X-CC ???
+1, just a/bed the Parterre with the S-EM6. Listening to Angela Aki - Kiss me goodbye. Right after i switched from the Parterre to the S-EM6, i noticed the high mid of the S-EM6 is weird. The female voice it rendered lacks a lot of "air" and "breath" compared to the Parterre. The background...- kytuphicanh

FitEar TO GO! & Universal Series --- Suyama's custom IEM, made universal!
i received mine 2 weeks ago and I think it's really amazing handling most of my music. However, it's a little warm and bass emphasis while i like the dead neutral sounding iems. My DAP is ipod touch 4, can u guys give me some suggestions on portable amps that can get rid of its warmth?- kytuphicanh
